My Love <3

Chapter 6: They meet

After I had introduced them both, Jessie claimed to recall another engagement and left. As I watched him walk away, I felt a piece of my heart go with him...

"So, Abby-chan, how long have you two known one another?", asked the man I should be focused on right now.
"U-uh...we've been friends for about 5 years now I guess", I said lacking certainty.
"Are you feeling okay? If not, maybe I should go ahead and walk you ho-"
"No!" I interrupted (much louder than necessary, whoops). "I-I'm alright, just a little...tired". I mean, it wasn't  exactly a lie...

"Okay! Do you want to walk around the park with me?", he said maybe a little too cheery.
"Sure, Kotobuki-senpai. Let's go!!"

As we walked out of the cute cafe, both of us looked up and saw that we were in the middle of a nice, warm spring shower. We decided to continue to the park anyways; each of us having a rain jacket and a shared umbrella. It sure felt romantic. The rain, the temperature, and the love of my life walking right next to me.... My thoughts were interrupted by Kotobuki-senpai grabbing my hand to stop me from walking straight into traffic. The best part is, he didn't let go.

"Well, Abby-chan, here we are!", said the voice Id give anything to hear. He gripped my hand, and we began our tour around the well-known city park. I love to swing, so naturally when we came upon the swing set, I ran to it and planted my butt on that wet seat. I immediately regretted that. Kotobuki-senpai just stood there, staring at me with one of those really hot half-smirks on his face.

"Kotobuki-senpai!! Come push me!", I called through the rain. It slowly got heavier and heavier...
He walked over to me, and while he was passing me he whispered:
"Call me Reiji-san, my girl".
"OHMYGOSHIMHISGIRL" was the first thought that came to me. Then, I remembered that I needed to actually respond to him.
"O-okay, Reiji-senpai", I said with a huge smile on my face, and we both chuckled. I looked down, waiting for him to the swing...when I felt a large, warm hand reaching to caress the side of my face, while his beautiful grey orbs stared into mine lovingly. He slowly tilted his head, as he moved his body closer to mine. I'll admit, it was kind of awkward, being that I was sitting down...but whatever XD. Finally, his soft lips crashed into mine with a healthy mix of love, passion, and determination. Of course, I kissed him back, and for a little while, we had a kiss-war (*wink wink* y'all know what I mean). We finally broke the kiss to regain oxygen. Both of us were breathing heavy, and he panted that we should start walking home now.

By this time, it was pouring outside, and both of us were soaking wet. We finally reached my house, and we both ran inside to turn on the weather channel.
"Hurricane Hannah is now right over our local area. Everyone is to stay indoors no matter what. The winds are too dangerous for anyone, or anything to be outside. More updates are coming your way." declared the weatherman.
"Welp, looks like my Reiji-senpai will have to stay the night...Come on, I'll set up the spare bedroom." I took his hand and gave him a quick tour of the house, finishing in the spare bedroom.
"Thank you so much, Abby-chan. I really owe you for this!", he said with a smile, and then kissed me goodnight. As I got ready for bed, all I could think about was the kiss. For, it was just like poison...
