Chapter Two

...
"What?" I exclaimed as I stared my eyes right onto the pink paper.
"This can't be happening!" I thought. I had many things for my future career all planned out!! I would most likely get my doctor's degree in Emory University and all that, but seriously? I stormed out of the crowd of people and rushed towards my parents' offices. I opened the door, stopped, and looked at the same old and sweet grandma that works as an office worker and greeted her politely. Then I continued my running down the halls, noticing some strange people with cameras and makeup supplies. Without minding, I kept running towards my mom's office and slammed open the door. I saw my mother sitting at a chair that looked like a director's seat in a movie.
"Mo- I mean Ms. Park?" I blubbered. Everyone was too busy working with their cameras and mom's makeup.
"May I have a word?" I asked her in a polite way, glancing at the camera that was shooting me. Mom followed me outside towards Dad's office.
I closed the door shut and looked up at my mom.
"Let me just ask you one thing." I stated carefully.
"Did you... put me on the show on purpose, or was it really random?" I questioned. Mom looked at me like I was joking.
"Ok. You know that I know that you don't like events like this. Why would I do that?" My mom answered.
"Ok. Ok." I answered as I backed up to open the door.
"Wait, mom." I said.
"Um.. you mean Ms. Park?" She questioned.
"Right. Could you not let them put that camera scene when I asked you to talk to me in private though?"
"Why not." She smiled as she opened the door for me as she kindly patted my back.

During 4th Period..
"Beep!" The bell rang as the intercom went on. I heard my mom's voice.
"Hello, students! Students that had their name on the pink sheet on the bill board, please come to the gym as quickly as possible!" She requested. I stood up, looking around to see if anyone in my 4th period class was also going to participate in the show. Well, I guess it was just me! I ran down the hallways, sometimes getting confused on which hallway I should go to. I ran to the gym to see a long line of students and another parallel with singing artists. I just knew that something bad might occur in the room.
