Crimson woke up to the sound of rock music playing loudly in his room. Or the other side of his room. He sat up to see his slumbering companion in the bed across the room for him. He snored loudly through the loud music. Crim huffed sleepily. He reached behind him grabbing his second pillow and lugging it above his head. He threw it at the snoozing lump who jerked when hit with the fluffy object. He turned over hitting his alarm clock aggressively as he picked up the pillow with the other hand. He threw it swiftly and silently towards Crim's head, who ducked instinctively. Rudy ran his fingers through his gravity defying hair, and rubbed his eyes with the other, yawning in the process.
"Rudy. Come on, get up," Crim said pulling off his blankets. He stretched his arms above his head as he placed his socked feet on the cold wooden floor.
"Five more minutes mom."
"No come on." Crim got up and walked over to the dresser as his eyes adjusted to the light of the room.
"This is stupid," Rudy said rolling the blankets off of him.
"You're stupid."
"Crim, it's too early for you to say stupid things."
"It's dangerous to use your entire vocabulary in one sentence Rudy." Crim said walking into the bathroom with his newly acquired clothes. He traded out the black pajama band t-shirt with a clean white one. He then replaced the striped pj bottoms with faded jeans. Quickly slipping on his favorite Red sweatshirt, he knocked on the door of the bathroom.
"Just a sec,"
"Ok," Crim waited by the door, his hand on the handle. After a couple seconds Rudy shouted through the door.
"You're good."
Crim opened the door to see Rudy attempting to tie his shoes. As Crim walked past him, he hit him lightly across the back of his head. He took off running as he heard Rudy shout. Rudy chased after the red clad boy zooming down the hallway towards the kitchen.
"You jerk!" Rudy yelled.
Crim ran and sat down at the table filled with other kids who were already eating. He sat down next to Janine, a 13 year old girl who lived in the room across from Rudy and Crim with her younger sister Cathy.
"Crim! Seriously!" She yelled. It seemed that his quick seating caused a bit of her water to splash her dress.
"Sorry Jan!"
"It's Janine!" she yelled as she grabbed some napkins. The younger kids giggled. The lot of them sat at the end of the table while the older kids sat at the other side, which would be Crim and Rudy. Though they didn't act like it.
The youngest boy on the end was named Jude, and he shuffled in his chair as he tried to understand what was happening. He was 3 years old. His older sister was sitting right next to him. She was 7 years old and barely talked unless it was about her brother. Her name was Kate. Next to Kate was Billy, who was an obnoxious 8 year old boy who had a toothy grin and loved to play pranks on the younger kids. He was nice enough. Next to him was 8 year old Cathy, Janine's younger sister. She really liked sports and was constantly active giving the other kids a run for their money. Across from them were the 9 year old twins Jacob and Joshua. They were two very funny little boys who were constantly together. They never liked to be apart from the other. Next to them was 11 year old Ryan who was a nerdy little boy who really liked dinosaurs. At that moment he was reading a book about the prehistoric era while eating his cereal. Right next to him was his honorary 15 year old brother Jack. Though they weren't related at all (in fact being two different races) Jack and Ryan were basically brothers. They came to the Foster home together, and were always with the other. Ryan helped Jack with school, and Jack protected him from the bullies that would pick on him. Across from Jack was Janine. Janine was very opinionated and very loud. She never really let anyone get away with anything, especially Billy who always took what she said as a challenge. But she was a very good person, and everyone knew it. She was loving and responsible and really tried her best to help everyone at the home.
