I'm on my way. There's the bus and I'm going. One foot in front of the other. I take a look back at my old home. I want to say that I'll miss this place but in reality I won't. I won't ever miss this place
"miss? Are you getting on?" Taking a few seconds to clear my mind, I realise that I'm staring at the bus driver. He's a gentle looking old man. Silver hair and pale blue eyes. He has a loving and caring smile
"yes sorry. I was just thinking" I pull out my purse taking the money out of it to give to the driver
"pardon me asking but you have lovely eyes. It's an unusual colour I must say." Stopping my current action I look at the man with a small smile. Feeling myself beginning to sweat. Just as you practiced alright. He doesn't have to know the truth
"thanks. it's a genetic mutation" he nodded his head as he seemingly fascinated at the though of it. Giving me another warm smile he takes the money I'm holding out.
"Could you drop me off at the first bus stop in glenmoors and you can Keep the change" I go and find my seat putting my things down. There's a few others on the bus.
It's late at night, I didn't think that there would be anyone at this time but then again I didn't even expect a bus to arrive. It was a long trip,I knew that much, what made it better is that it had started to rain. Pounding on the windows vigorously. The time flew by surprisingly quickly, before i knew it the sun was coming up and there were a few more people around me on the bus.
"Glenmoor" the driver called out my stop and I got off taking my belongings which there wasn't really that much to be honest.Walking up to a fairly large sized home I knocked on the door and waited. It looked slightly old but not decaying, there where flower beds around the entrance with vibrant colours on each flower and the grass was a lovely green and by the looks of the outdoor toys they had a child. A smiley women opened the door her hair was long and brown and she had fiery red eyes. She seemed like she was a few years older than myself .
"Hello! You must be ivy yes?" She nodded her head and smiled faintly "yes I am. And you are Kaitlyn I spoke with you on the phone." The brunet Nodded her head stepping aside allowing her inside.
"Yes. Please come inside. you must be tired it was a long trip I suppose" i moved my head in a nodding motion as i stepped inside the warm building. It seemed like a somewhat traditional home but more woody and welcoming. Nothing like what i was brought up in. Looking around it was cosy and seemed, like it had a lot of memories. There was lots of photos on the walls of what I assume to be family and friends. It seemed..unreal.
"You have an interesting eye colour ivy" the woman picked up my bag and headed up the stairs looking back at me signalling for me to follow her
"oh. thank you" I followed after her nodding my head quickly causing me to look like a bobble head.
"are they real?" She glanced back at me with a small smile. Damn now I look like a fool. Still nodding my head even faster "yes, yes it even comes with it own- uhm it's a genetic mutation" could I be more stupid, control I need control, She didn't seem to question me and just joined in my nodding but she did it softer clearly not wanting to look like a fool. Letting out a sigh I look around the stair way and into the upstairs hall way
"that rooms mine and Laura's. you remember Laura yes?" I nod my head slowly concentrating hard to remember "Laura" I look at the door at the end of a long the hallway.
"that's Blake'sroom" mouthing a 'ok' I looked over to the direction Kaitlyn motioned too
"Your room is just here" she moved her head in a side motion signalling to the door on her left still holding my luggage, I opened the door for her and she stepped inside placing my luggage next to a dark wooden wardrobe."Thank you" I finally managed to speak
