Chapter 8 : Trying To Hold it In

Mikasa couldn't sleep.

But Eren of course, he slept peacefully as he kept rethinking the moment when Mikasa hugged him. 

Mikasa stared at the ceiling as she said to herself,

"I'm in love with Eren..."

Mikasa slowly opened her eyes.

She only slept for 3 hours. 

Poor Mika. ;-;

Anyways, Mikasa sat up slowly and yawned as she stretched. 

She stood up and walked to the door and opened it slowly. Trying not to wake Eren up since he's always cranky, she tip toed to the staircase successfully and made some coffee. 

She picked up the mug filled with coffee and took a sip.

Eren slowly opened his eyes as the sun shined through the curtains. He smiled as the sun reminded him of Mikasa. Mikasa had a smile that was bright. Although she rarely smiles unless something good has happened.

He stood up and stretched as he let out a yawn. Eren opened the door and walked down the stairs. 

Once Mikasa noticed him she quickly looked away making Eren feeling curious.

"Morning Eren. Did you sleep well?" Mikasa greeted. Eren nodded. "Yeah. My first time actually. I sometimes happen to have some strange dreams."

"What kind?"

Eren blushed.

"U-Um...it's personal." He replied. Mikasa nodded as she took another sip of coffee. She has never felt her heart pound this fast since the two of them met. Eren went to the bathroom as Mikasa took a seat trying to calm herself down.

'Calm down Mikasa...you can't have Eren be looking at you like this...or he'll be worried. I don't want that..but how can I calm down? My heart is pounding every time he's near me or his body is in contact with me.' She thought.

Mikasa sighed.

'I'll just have to keep feeling like this.' She thought once again.

Eren really didn't need to go to the bathroom. He's heart was just pounding so fast ever since the hug they had.

He tried to calm down as he touched his heart.

He felt his heart beating rapidly. 

Eren touched his face and could feel heat. Now he felt embarrassed.

'Oh shit...did she see my red face? If she did...oh god. That must've been the reason why she looked away. She might've thought I was in love with her. Even though I am...' 

Eren sighed.

'Just calm down Eren....calm down...'

He didn't.

Eren looked at the door and reached for the door knob. He twisted it and opened the door. 

Mikasa looked up and Eren quickly looked away leaving Mikasa feeling curious.

'Why did he look away?' Mikasa touched her face and widened her eyes.

She felt heat.

'Oh shit (oh my). I must've been blushing really hard, is that why he looked away from me? Did he think I was in love with him even though I really am?'  Mikasa thought. She stood up. "I'll be back in a sec." She told.
