Aphmau rushed through the pouring rain to the haunted building, trying to avoid getting as wet possible.

She rushed into the front entrance, cold, wet, tired, and panting. She noticed Violet wasn't there immediately, taking a shaky breath before concluding she was already in the office.

Wringing out her soaked hair as she walked, she entered the security office. Taking a silent note of the be windows. Violet wasn't there. She frowned, shaking off any excess water before grabbing the security monitor out of the cabinet and pulling up the cameras.

She checked the party room, and saw that Violet was rushing from the bathroom to the office.

The door was opened seconds later, and Violet walked in. She took in Aphmau's appearance and shook her head with a smile. "Forget your umbrella?"

Aphmau sighed. "More like I didn't know I would need it. Didn't pay attention to the weather."

"Ah." Violet said. She gave a knowing smile. "I know all about that." she murmured, a smirk appearing on her face. Aphmau rolled her eyes with a smile and turned back to the monitor.

"Oh, there's a message." she muttered. "Probably about the windows." Violet said, tapping the now opaque panes. "We forgot to report them."

"Yeah." she muttered. "Probably."

She opened the message, and that was when Violet tuned out. She heard the same call many times... even when Jeb tried, he was still predictable. With a slight chuckle, she disappeared into her thoughts.

As Violet was lost in thought, Aphmau began checking the cameras. Not a minute had passed when Aphmau's shrill shriek snapped Violet out of her thoughts and into the present. With a familiar animatronic.

Violet froze, a look of terror on her face. As Aphmau pulled Violet from the room, the girl was trapped in her mind. The static that filled her head was hard to understand, and even harder to fight off.

This was meant for her. Meant as a punishment for interfering with the sentence. She said nothing as she got pulled into the closet with Aphmau. She climbed the ladder and waited. Aphmau was hyperventilating, and Violet was too, in her own way.

Another scream ripped from Aphmau's throat, and Violet's head snapped to the origin. Chica. The chicken was peering up at them, and Aphmau was ready to burst. Tears were streaming down her eyes, and Violet suddenly felt guilty. It didn't matter to her that it would have happened anyways; Aphmau crying made her deeply regret her decisions.

She said nothing as the power went out, still stuck in a sort of trance. She wasn't entirely present. The haze and static still filled every crevice of her mind, making her dazed at best. She watched the chicken below her with less than cautious behavior.

When the power turned off, she was startled enough to shake off the static and snap out of the daze. She immediately turned to Aphmau. "Sorry. I react like that when I get scared." she murmured, making Aph shake her head.

"It doesn't matter. We are stuck in the dark with the animatronics." she replied, making me sigh. "Maybe we should call Jeb...?" She suggested, making her nod fervently. "Yeah, I think I know the number."

As Aphmau called Jeb, Violet moved to sit against the storage space. Her head leaned back and her eyes closed. She let out a small sigh, and she suddenly felt like her limbs were lead. She was... tired. A feat that shouldn't be possible, considering her place and punishment.

A small smile tugged its way onto her face, and she opened one eye to see Aphmau looking in the storage space beside her. Violet hadn't even realized she had finished, to caught up in her thoughts. This habit would be hard to break. "What's happening?" she murmured.

"We have to go turn on the generator while the animatronics are deactivated." she replied, taking out a flashlight and some batteries. She loaded them into the flash light and clicked it on.

Now armed with light, they slowly started to make their way down. Aph went first with the light. Violet heard a sigh of relief from below and started her silent decent.

They crept out of the closet, the eerie darkness and silence oppressing. It felt wrong to disturb it, even though they had to. With a loud 'click', the hall was suddenly filled with light, which made Violet and Aphmau both sigh in relief.

They quickly made their way to the backstage area, Violet leading the way to the generator. She let Aph turn it on, staying by the door. She did not want to repeat her lest experience walking into that room. Just the memory made her shudder.

She looked back into the backstage, the click of a door alerting her to his presence. They acknowledged one another silently as he walked away. She pursed her lips, the half-truth already forming in her mind.

Aphmau walked out, taking longer than she should have. They both turned to the door, and each had their own form of surprise. For Violet, a face painted with suspicion, not too hard for her to do. Aphmau wore a mask of terror, the thought if someone in her chilling her to the core.

They both walked out, Aphmau calling for anyone. They both caught sight if the man by the bathrooms, and Violet tensed. They immediately walked over, Violet in more of a hurry than Aphmau.

They walked in, immediately splitting up. Aphmau took the girls restroom while Violet checked the mens. When they met up again with nothing, Aphmau brushed it off as hallucinations. Violet wasn't that easy to persuade. As Aphmau hurried back to the office, Violet couldn't tear her eyes away from the door. The door that was closed.

They made it back to the office as the bell rang for the shift to end. Violet took the security monitor as Aphmau walked back. She put it back and started walking towards the room.

She was aware of his presence behind her, but she said nothing she waited until she was directly in front of the open door before she said anything. "You broke the rules, idiot." she hisses, turning around and smacking the puppet.

There was a detached grin forming on the face of the puppet, eerily awkward as some of the muscles were decomposed. She watched as the place where she slapped was slowly mended, the bruise fading away in moments.

"Don't do it again." she hissed as she was turning back.
