“Waffles, love?” Harry asked, his back to me as I slid into a seat at the breakfast nook.
The muscles in his back flexed underneath the thin white cotton shirt with each subtle movement he made.
“Yes, please,” I smiled, wondering when he had put a top on. I was positive he was bare chested last night.
Harry turned, leaning on the counter as he asked, “did you sleep well? I didn’t want to wake you when I got out of bed. You looked so comfortable.”
I nodded, “yes. I slept really well. Almost didn’t want to get out of bed.”
He just smiled down at me with his dimpled cheeks and turned back to his waffle iron. I couldn’t help but wonder why on earth he would have his own waffle iron. We didn’t even have a waffle iron.
“So, I talked to my dad yesterday after we got off the phone,” I said quietly, propping my head up on my elbows. I yawned as he flipped the waffle iron over.
“Oh?” He asked, grabbing a pair of mugs out of a cupboard by him.
“Yeah. He said they should be all flying back this coming Saturday and gave me a little congratulations. Dex was really happy too. He’s quite fond of you, Harry.”
“I’m glad. He’s such a sweet kid. I love kids, can’t wait to have my own one day,” he confessed. I could almost hear his lips pull up into another killer smile.
He spun back around and placed a steaming mug of tea and plate of hot chocolate chip waffles in front of me. “Bon appétit,” he smiled, and took a seat next to me.
I took a bite of my waffle and thought, “I could get used to this.”

“I want to watch this one,” I frowned, holding up my dvd of choice. It was actually a pretty childish movie, but the kid part of me absolutely loved it.
“I don’t even know how I have that here,” Harry argued, “we are not watching that!”
“But it’s a Christmas movie. We have to watch it. It’s basically a classic, and Christmas is so close!”
“Fine, you win, Lea. But only because you’re so cute.”
I smiled at him victoriously as I popped the disc into the dvd player.
Once I had the remote in hand, I flicked off the lights and settled down on the couch in Harry’s arms.
The image of a haggard animated green monster popped up on the screen, and I smiled in delight. The 1966 animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was probably the best version out of all of the Grinch movies I had seen. It took me back to my childhood – my early adolescent years when my mother and I would cuddle up on my grand parents couch and watch the 26 minute movie.
Harry’s arm snaked around my shoulders as I rested on his chest. I could hear his heart beat. It was a soothing sound. I had never really realized how comforting the sound of a heart beating could be.

Harry’s Point of View –
I leaned back on the couch, rubbing circles on Lea’s back as she watched the animation on the screen. I did have to give it to her, though. The movie was a classic and I remember watching it with my own mum when I was younger.
It wasn’t long until I noticed that Lea had fallen asleep in my arms. Her eyes were closed and she snored softly, in an almost cute way. I smiled to myself. She was just so beautiful. I couldn’t believe that she was all mine.
Even though we’d known each other less than a month, I really felt an intense connection towards her. She was quickly becoming the centre of my universe. I couldn’t help but worry, though… About what it would be like when I did have to go back on tour. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as I think that it sounds.

Author's Note
Okay, so, another kinda short chapter. I'm just kinda stumped with this story, guys. I've been trying to write for days and my brain just is not working for me.
I hope this terrible bout of writers block will fade away so I can put out a nice long, and actually stimulating chapter. Anyways, yeah.
