-Harry’s POV-
It had been a few weeks now since that night, and we were closer than ever. Christmas had come and gone, Paul had come back home, I’d already broken my New Year’s resolution, and Lea and I were spending tons of time together.
I think it would be completely true to say that I’d become very attached to the stability of our relationship in my otherwise hectic life. I absolutely adored having someone so level headed to keep me grounded and sane despite all of the craziness that comes with fame. And if I was honest with myself, I didn’t know how I would last on the road without my girl by my side.
I’d become addicted to her in the most innocent way. I hated to be away from her for more than a day at a time, I craved her touch and the taste of her soft lips; I’d fallen in love with her.
It was strange to me, though. To think, it was so simple to fall in love with my Avonlea. My Avonlea.
-Avonlea’s POV-
“Dad, I’m going to see Harry, okay?” I asked, slinging my purse over my shoulder. It was already getting dark out, and it was likely I’d just end up spending the night at Harry’s… not that my dad minded much. He knew I was sensible.
He nodded and shooed me. He loved the change in both Harry and I. We were inseparable and happy. We’d fallen in love, not that either of us dared to use that word… yet.
I took my car, driving over to Harry’s flat. We were still keeping things low key, and had to be a bit discreet about where we would go out – if we even went out. It’s not that I minded anyways. I liked to just be Avonlea – with nothing extraordinary added onto my name, not even important enough for a Wikipedia page. And if the paparazzi knew that I was dating Harry Styles, they would be all over me. I wouldn’t get a minute to breathe.
I let myself into his place with a key he’d given me a week and a half after we started to date. He was home, sleeping on the couch.
“Haaaarry!” I called, slipping out of my shoes. I plopped down on the couch next to him, shaking his shoulder. “Harry, wake up.”
He roused slowly, mumbling words as he rubbed his eyes. “You took so long to get here, Lea,” he rasped, grinning. I felt my heart leap into my chest. He was too perfect.
“You know, you leave in a few days with the boys,” I say softly, taking his hand. I ran my thumb over his knuckles – the way he always did to me.
He nodded, frowning. “Yeah, I know. I was just thinking about that today.” His eyes darkened for a fraction of a second before he looked me in the eyes again. “I’m going to miss you. I don’t know what’s it going to be like to have to leave.”
I offer him a weak smile and a shrug. “I’ll come visit you. Whenever I can. Or you can come visit me. There’s skype, facetime,” I sigh. I knew that looking at a digital face wasn’t the same as holding each other in the flesh.
“Come here,” Harry says, grabbing me suddenly. He pulls me down to lie with him – nestling my face into his chest. “We still have a few days. Let’s make the most of it.”
I smiled. All I needed now was a way to tell him that I loved him.
