Chapter 18

I wake up to the smell of eggs and bacon coming from downstairs and I check the time in my phone and realize that it's almost noon. Shit, I have to get ready before Matt comes over.

I quickly get out of bed and rush to my closet to pick out something simple. I grab my mom's old Florida International University sweater and a pair of yoga pants. Putting them on hastily, I leave my hair like it is because I washed it last night after watching Netflix. I run to my bed to make it quickly but all I really did was spread the blanket so it didn't look that messy. I grab my phone and head downstairs to the kitchen and find Camryn making breakfast. I didn't know that gringas can cook. I'm shocked. She turns and looks at me when she hears me walk in the kitchen.

"Good Morning! Do you want some eggs and bacon?" She asks and I nod my head.

"Where's everyone else at?" I ask as she gets a plate out from the cabinet and places the food on the plate.

"Danny is in the shower. And your parents went out together for the day. They said that they'll be back around four o'clock."

"Okay. I'm having two friends over in a few, one I have to do a project with and Zayn just wants to come over just because." I mention as I begin eating my food.

"Oh okay. Well I'm sure Danny would like to meet both of them. He'll be out soon." She gets a plate and takes a seat across from me and we eat in silence until I hear Danny come down the stairs.

"Beba that smells really good." Danny calls out as he walks into the kitchen and gives me a kiss on the cheek before kissing Camryn.

"Good morning to you too." I mumble and he laughs and gets a plate and starts piling the food onto the plate.

There's a knock at the door and I check the time on my phone and realize that Matt is a few minutes early. I rush to open the door and find Matt standing there with his book bag slung over his back and smiling.

"Morning." He says as I let him in and he takes a look around and comes in contact with Danny and Camryn.

"Hi I'm Matt. I'm a friend of Jennelle's. " Matt says as he walks over to Danny and shakes his hand.

"I'm Danny. Jennelle's older brother." He says and glances at me. "Are you here to work on a project?" He asks curiously and I roll my eyes.

"Um yeah., it's for world history." Matt says awkwardly and shifts from one foot to another.

"Well we have to get started." I say and gently tug on Matt's shirt and motion him towards the living room.

We walk into the living room and he sets his backpack down.

"I um have to get extra supplies that are in my room, do you wanna come or would you rather stay here?" I ask him and he glances into the kitchen to find Danny glancing at us wearily.

"I'll go with you." He stammers and I chuckle and motion for him to follow me.

"Where are you two going?" Danny asks quickly and I roll my eyes before poking my head out from the stair railing.

"We're just getting some supplies, Danny, Jesus." I groan and I hear Cameryn giggle and shove Danny.

"What's your problem? She's just doing a project." I hear her mumble and I silently praise her for understanding.

I walk up the stairs and down the hallway with Matt trailing quickly behind. I open the door to my room and walk over to my desk and get the supplies while Matt looks around my room.

"I like this. You should wear this more often." Matt mumbles and when I look up he's holding one of my black lace bra's. My cheeks instantly redden and I quickly rush up to him and snatch it from him before stuffing it back in my drawer.
