Chapter 23

After school Anna brought her things over for tomorrow like she said. And since my mom loves Anna so much, she let her stay over.

We had a little goodbye party for Danny and Camryn. Anna and Zayn were there and my parents of course. My mom, Anna, and Camryn got teared up when they were about to leave. Anna really clicked with Camyrn and my mom loves her like she's her own daughter. And of course my brother tried to act oh-so- macho, when he was saying bye to Zayn.

"I want you to look over my little sister, if you hurt her I'll kill you." He says jokingly but also with a hint of seriousness. Zayn nods his head nervously and clears his throat before letting out an awkward chuckle while Danny brings him into a brief hug.
When my brother reaches my mom, she's already crying.

"Ay, mamí por favór no llores." ( Mom please don't cry.) Danny chuckles as he brings her into a hug. When they let go, my mom wipes her eyes and kisses his cheek.

"I'm so proud of you." She says and my brother smiles widely. We say our last goodbyes to each other as my dad helps Danny put their suitcases in the cab.

"Bye Danny." I say and bring him into one last final hug.

"Bye baby girl. I'll call you when we get back to Spain." He kisses me on the cheek lightly as Camryn wipes her eyes. They get into the cab and watch them as they drive away.

Zayn, Anna and I are in my room just hanging out, until Anna says that she is going to head in the shower in the guest bathroom. Once she leaves I glance quickly at Zayn.

"I'll be right back, I'm just going to the bathroom." I say and he nods his head while typing away on his phone. I make my way towards the bathroom and quickly do what I have to do. I look thought the drawers in hopes to find a tampon. There has to be some here. I bought a pack yesterday.. Shit. I never brought them into the bathroom. So that means that they're still in my room. I mentally face palm myself.

"Zayn?" I call out rather loudly.

"Yeah?" I hear him say as his voice gets increasingly closer and I now realize that he's right outside the door.

"This is going to be a really weird favor, but can you get me a tampon out of my dresser please? I ran out." I mumble embarrassed. I hear him chuckle.

"Your first drawer in your dresser right?"
"Yeah."

A few seconds pass and then he knocks on the door.

I quickly get up and unlock the door a crack and extend my arm out so he can't see me. He hands me a tampon and a pad also.

"I got you a pad too, I didn't know if you wanted it also, but here." He says and I giggle and say thank you before closing the door again.

That wasn't as weird as I thought it would be. After I finish washing my hands, I walk back into my room and see Anna dressed in her pj's. Zayn glances up at me and smirks.

"Did you plug yourself good?" He asks and begins to chuckle and Anna punches him in the arm.

"Ow! What was that for?" He says as he rubs the place where Anna punched him.

"That wasn't funny." Anna scolded and Zayn nods his head before looking at me once again.

"Yeah those jokes aren't funny. Period." And he doubles in laughter as I stand there blushing a deep Crimson before walking over to him and pushing him off my bed.

"Wha? - Hey!" He tries to argue but I just take his spot and stick my tongue out at him and he does the same. He quickly checks the time on his phone and stands abruptly.

"Shit I have to get going." He says as he picks up his jean jacket from my desk and puts it on.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"I just have to help my mum and my sisters." He says nervously before walking towards me and giving me a quick kiss.

"I'll see you tomorrow." glances at Anna. "Bye faggot." He says playfully,
"Bye fuckbucket." She says with a hint of amusement in her tone.

From Maria 7:35 pm:
Hey are you still coming tonight? We have to do a shipment.

"Shit I have to get going." I mumble out loud to no one in particular, until I glance up at Jennelle and she's staring at me curiously.

"Where are you going?" She asks and I quickly have to make up a lie on the spot. I hate doing this, but I have to. She can't know that I'm in a gang.

"I just have to help my mum and sisters. I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" I walk over to her and give her a quick kiss on the cheek, then glance over to Anna. "Bye faggot." I say playfully. I don't mean it in a bad way, I would never make fun of someone's sexuality. It's just how her and I play around. She rolls her eyes.

"Bye fuckbucket." She says in an attempt to think of a better comeback.

"Hate yo ass." I mumble and laugh as I begin to walk out of the door, But luckily she hears and laughs.

"Hate yo ass too!"

As I descend down the stairs, I run into Jennelle's parents.

"Zayn! Leaving so soon?" Her mom asks me and I nod my head sheepishly.

"I have to help my mum and sisters." I mumble and she nods her head in understanding.
"Well you should invite your family over for dinner! We would love to have you over!" Mrs. Garcia exclaims and I smile and nod my head.

"My mum would love that. She's been dying to meet you guys, especially my sisters."

"Well then how about next weekend?" Mrs. Garcia asks and I smile awkwardly.

"Yeah, um sure, I'll just have to talk to my mum and make sure she doesn't have anything planned." I say and she smiles and nods her head.
"Well just let me know."

"I will, thank you Mrs. Garcia."

"Please Zayn, call me Isabel." She laughs and brings me into a brief hug before I walk out the door.
