Beverly sat for a while examining the handsome face that laid lifeless on the bed, wondering what could have happened to him, maybe an accident, maybe a fall, she imagined, a noise from the doorway startled her back to reality.
" Good morning Missy" a robust woman dressed as a cook wheels in Aaron's breakfast.
Beverly quickly stands to her feet.
" You must be the new carer" looks at Beverly
" do you feed at all? the boss is three times Your size!"
" Come child, come help me lift him up"
Beverly rushes the other side of the bed wanting to be useful for once.
The huge woman who Beverly could not tell if she was a cook or a nurse, brought out a small towel and a bowl from the lower cart began to wipe Aaron on the face. She takes off his vest, wipes his well structured chest.
" Hold this child" hands her the towel, and then brings out a syringe and injects Aaron in the heart. That startled Beverly . She looks up at Beverly on seeing Beverly's face , she stared amazed.
" Holy Mariah! who are you? Gina?"
She wheel are cart quickly out of the room leaving Beverly wondering what she had done, or said. She sat at the edge of the bed confused, still holding onto the towel, she turned and looks at Aaron, stands to her feet she walked to Aaron, touched his neck, he had a high temperature. Why can't they just take him to the hospital she wondered, she dabs his neck with the wet towel, hoping that would help calm his risen temperature.
" I wonder what happened to You and..."
Her thought went wild. She had seen half naked guys at the beach and on TV but never had she come this close to one. She was tempted to touch his biceps, lightly she began with the tip of her fingers, her fingers travels to his shoulders, his chest, his flat stomach and...
" . . . and why had she called me GINA"
Just then his strong hands held her by the wrist, in shock she looked up at him and Aaron's eyes flung open. She opens her mouth and then collapsed.
