A Big Secret

What happened?(last chapter before I go for vacation?)

TZUYU'S POV

"Why didn't you tell me you had cancer?" I asked Halmoni.

"I could have taken better care of you!" I 'scolded' Grandma.

"Tzuyu.. I-" Grandma said, but I cut her words.

"I... really regret not taking good care of you now. You should have told me! Well, anyways. What goes around comes around." I said, sighing.

Many things are happening... oppa left Korea and Halmoni has cancer. Great.

The nurse came in suddenly.

"Miss Chou?" The nurse asked for me.

"Yes?" I replied.

"So... I need to perform a simple surgery on Mrs Chou. She has not been taking her medicines regularly, and through this surgery, it will cure a little." The nurse said.

"When?" I asked.

"I need to confirm the date. Mrs Chou has to agree on having this surgery, then we will check the dates when Doctor Kim is free." The nurse replied.

"Thanks, I will talk with Grandma and see how it goes. Hopefully she accepts it, because I really want her to live long with me." I said, almost tearing up.

The nurse left, and I told Grandma about the surgery, trying so hard to convince her.
Finally, she accepted it.

I told the nurse and the nurse said the surgery will be held 2 weeks later. However, there is a high chance of passing away but if she survives, she is really lucky.

Isn't this too risky? What if.. things goes the wrong way and Grandma.. passes...

It's very hard to say that. However.... I think she won't.

-2 weeks later-

I went to visit Grandma. It was the day of her surgery. I held her hand tightly as she entered the Surgery room. I wasn't allowed to enter, and felt really disappointed.

-1 hour later-

"Are you her family member?" A docter came out of the surgery room and asked me.

"Yes.. I'm Miss Chou." I said.

"I'm Doctor Kim. Mrs Chou is having difficulty in breathing, so, there is a very high chance that she might pass away. Be mentally prepared." Doctor Kim said, leaving me speechless.

"What? Grandma? You can't leave me just like that! We still have many places to go! And I was planning on taking you to China!" I said, leaving myself in tears.

-approximately 20 minutes later-

"...we are sad to say that Mrs Chou has passed on at 5.18pm officially in Seoul, Korea." Doctor Kim came out and said, sobbing.

"No.. NO WAY! HALMONI! WHERE IS SHE?!" I couldn't believe it.

I heard: "Don't worry, honey. I'm in a place far away from you.. in a beautiful place that gives me peace. I can watch you even from far."

Halmoni.. halmoni!

THE NEXT DAY

I walked to Sana unnie and told her about Grandma's death. We decided to go to her funeral after school.

AT THE FUNERAL

I saw Grandma in the coffin. She was smiling.. I cried..

I went back home with Sana unnie. We watched the TV and...

News Reporter: We have successfully found the murderer of Tyler. He is Zi Tao. He escaped to Bangkok. The Thailand police have caught him. He will be sentenced for 4 years.

...Oppa? He is in jail..? I sighed. Why did he kill Tyler?

"..Tzuyu... he will be back. I'll be coming over to your house frequently if that's okay. I just want to accompany you since.. grandma passed on." Sana unnie said.

"Okay.." I said.

Days passed, Sana and I got closer.

We finally decided to get married 💗
