This was requested by a few people that I got started Wattpad. Plus I also thought that maybe you guys would like to know how I get my thoughts for writing. Or maybe you don't want to know. I don't know. I am not you. :) These tips are for writing fanfiction. If you would like regular writing tips then tell me in the comments.

Let's begin!

Tip 1: Listen to music!
Yes, listening to music is a great source of inspiration. For example, if you are writing sad things then I recommend Shattered by Trading Yesterday. Find songs that match up with your writing.

Tip 2: Research!!
As boring as that may sound it really does help. Let's use Harry Potter for example. The best place to look for information is on your fandom's Wikipedia page. The site would say Harry Potter Wiki. Except substitute Harry Potter with your fandom. It gives you information on everything you need. Plus it is edited by your fellow fans, so the information should be correct.

Tip 3: Write down your ideas!
This really does come in handy. If you have one idea that seems to be amazing then write it down. This helps keep you organized for writing. I suggest keeping your ideas somewhere you can find them. That place could be your phone, a notebook, a folder, it could be anywhere!

Tip 4: Find fellow fans of your fandom!

This tip is quite helpful. There are going to be fans of your fandom. I am a part of many fandoms, so if you need help with writing a fanfiction then I might be able to give you ideas. Don't be afraid to ask people for ideas from your fandoms!

Tip 5: Look at fan art!
This one may sound super weird, but this one helps me a lot. Looking at people's art can give you ideas. For example, in my Five Nights at Freddy's story I use Pole-bear's art. Her art gives me ideas. Maybe there is somebody's fan art that has inspired you. Use it. Just remember that you need to give credit.

Tip 6: Once you publish your fanfiction, remember to update regularly.

This tip maybe a no-brainer, but you have to update regularly. If you must make an update schedule then do it. This reminds you that you should update. My schedule for updating is this:

Snowy's Craziness and Randomness:
Anyday. Anytime. This is my fangirl book. XD

My Five Nights at Freddy's Book:
Sunday: Bonus chapters for all animatronics.
Monday: Bonnie
Tuesday: Foxy
Wednesday: Freddy
Thursday: Goldie
Friday: Chico
Saturday: Free Day. No updates.

Give yourself a break between updates.

Tip 7: Remember to update not just for yourself but for your readers too.

Don't be that author that hasn't published a part since forever. That is a bad deal. Your readers are reading your story and they want to know what happens next!

End of tips!

I hope these were good. If you want tips and tricks for regular writing then tell me. I wish you luck in all you do!
