Victoria's P.O.V.
I woke up to the sound of Sam's alarm beeping. We hadn't moved all night so I was still laying next to him. He went to sit up but then felt me laying with him in stopped. I reached over and turned off the alarm.
"Morning beautiful." He said in a morning voice, looking at me. I crossed my arms over his chest and stuck my head down on them. I smiled and he smiled back.
"Morning. Why do you get up so early?" I said looking at him then closing my eyes.
"If I didn't wake up now, I would waste away the day. Plus I run in the morning." Sam said sticking his arms around me.
I looked over at the clock which read 6:00 am. I looked back in shock. The last time I woke up that early was when I loved with Crowley and I had demon school.
I rolled off of him and he sat up. He walked over to his dresser and grabbed a pair of track pants and a track jacket before walking into the bathroom to change. I sat up and looked around. His room had no posters on the wall, just four pictures. I stood up and walked over to the wall to see what they were.
It was a picture of two little boys, a picture of him and some blonde girl, a picture of him and Dean but he had shorter hair, and a picture of him, Dean, Cas, and three other people. I was curious to who they were. He looked really happy with the blonde girl.
I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "Who are these people?" I asked not looking away from the pictures. He let go and pointed at the picture of him and the blonde girl.
"That is my ex-fiance Jess." I turned to look at him. "It's not what you think. You won't have to worry about her coming back because she passed away. It was actually what got me back into hunting. Dean came to my house one night and said our dad was on a hunting trip and he wasn't back for a few days. I went to help him on a hunt and when I came back Jess, just like my mother was on my ceiling dead."
"Oh, Sam. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay." He said before pointing to the picture of him, Dean, Cas and the other people. "This is my family. Not my blood family. My real family. It's me, Dean, Cas, Ellen, Jo, and-"
"Your dad?" I asked looking at Sam.
"Actually, no. My dad was dead before this picture was taken. By the same demon that murdered my mother. That was Bobby. He was a wise man and took care of me just like I was his own. I always thought of him as my father more than my own father. He taught me that family doesn't end with blood. I miss him."
"Sam, your life is just one death after another." I said pulling him into a hug. He stuck his head on top of mine. I heard him sigh and pull me closer.
"That's what I'm afraid of. I can't lose you, too. Please, don't put yourself in harms way for me. I've been responsible for so many deaths that I can't handle another. You need to stay alive for me. Don't you ever put yourself in harms way for me. Ever." Sam said. I looked up at him and saw that he looked like he was about to cry. I wanted to hug that giant puppy in my arms, forever. I would have if I didn't hear someone clear their throat from behind Sam. He turned around and I looked over to see Dean standing there in a robe.
"Not to interrupt, but Sam, we are leaving in an hour. We have to get this case done so we can come back for Victoria to make sure she is safe."
"We aren't taking her with us?" Sam asked.
"No, it's too risky. I want to leave her here with Cas. She should be fine with Cas. He won't go anywhere. I've already talked to him about it." Dean said looking at him. Then he looked shocked. "Hey wait, were you crying?"
"No, I wasn't." I said covering for Sam.
"I was asking Sa-. You know what, never mind. I have to go get our stuff ready." Dean said leaving the doorway.
"I should probably get ready to go. Looks like there is no run for me today." Sam said walking away to get his stuff ready.
I turned away and started to grab clothes. I grabbed a shirt and a pair of blue jeans. Walking in the bathroom, I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes were black. "No," I said gasping, "It can't be. I thought I got rid of it."
"Vicki, are you okay in there?" Sam asked through the door. I looked back at the mirror and saw brown eyes.
"Yeah, sorry I- j-just found a stain on my shirt that I thought was gone." I said.
"Okay, just making sure you were okay." Sam said. He took steps away from the door and I heard him going through his dresser.
I can't let Sam know about that. He would never let me be. I need to find out more about Lucifer. I need to know more about myself. I need to know more about Dad. I need to research but I can't have Sam over my back.
