Naruto's pov...

Of all times for me to get sober, it had to be when Purple ( What?! It's not like I know her name!) said "... days before his death? He... he..." "he what?" I thought drowsily. "If your gonna say something, you can do so. No ones holding your words captive. Hurry up and say-"

"He proposed..."

My head stopped functioning. It had been months since I'd heard that word. And I never wanted to hear it again. Not... Not after...

I heard the sound of throw up hitting the floor. I turned and saw Sasuke on the ground clutching his stomach as vomit was hurled from his mouth. "Sasuke?! SASUKE! Get up!" Shino screa-

Wait.

Wait.

Wait what?

I'm pretty sure we all looked at Shino like he had gone nuts. Well, everyone except Sasuke. Did... is... WHAT??

Did Shino just...

Call...

Out...

In concern?!

My thought process was horrendously slow, and it didn't help that I had close to a gallon of alcohol just sitting in my blood. And then Shino had to go and cry out for Sasuke. That was MY job. And I only cried his name when
1. He was injured.
2. He had said something rude.
3. I wanted more. (I would go into detail, but that would lead to you having nosebleeds so strong, Waterfalls would be envious.

A fourth wall? Did that even exist in this book in the first place? Anyway, you're distracting me from the story.)

Purple took one look at my face and then I knew. This was a setup. A trap. But from who? And why would they target Sasuke? I was trying to activate Kurama's power, but because he had been using his energy to help speed the alcohol through my system, he didn't have much to offer.

Sasuke was still crying, and Shino ( Shino of all people) was sitting next to him, brushing those adorable bangs out of his eyes, trying to smoothly calm him, rubbing his back and he was a little closer than I would like and his hands were going a bit too low on his back-

Before I knew what was happening, everything within my eye sight turned red. I could feel myself shaking with envy.

I hadn't realized I was killing off an army until blood accidentally got into my eyes. I slowly took in my surroundings. I was outside the bar, and there seemed to be fifty-nine to seventy men just standing around. Well, they were actually charging toward me, but they were so inexperienced, it really did look like they were simply loitering.

I bounded forward, taking out my jealously on the shamefully weak men. I avoided killing them, but I made sure every single one of bled. I decided that once all my jealous nerves were settled by demolishing pathetic minions in battle, I'd take a shot at murdering Purple for mentioning the incident... with... Sa...Sa...

Before I knew it, I was out of punching bags. I snarled in fury, and headed back into the bar to find that Shino and Hinata were busy fighting Purple, while Gaara was trying to bring Sasuke back to reality. I thought Hinata and Shino could handle Purple just fine, so I bounded to Sasuke's side. I gently took his head in my hands and whispered his name, softly. Sasuke stared into my eyes, and they soon focused. He choked, and I folded him inside of my arms, rocking him gently.

"He's not here?" He questioned quietly. "No." I murmured as soothingly as I knew. "But I am."

I felt him shiver against me. For a moment, it was just Sasuke and I, our hearts beating, his slowly starting to calm.

Ba-ba bump
                     Ba-ba     Bump
Ba Ba  Bump
Ba Ba  Bump
       Ba ba bump

   And then...

I heard the snap of broken bone and then a heart stopping scream.

I tried turning to see what had happened, only to be stopped by Sasuke's iron hard grip on my shoulders. "Sasuke...?" I asked carefully. "Don't turn around." He rasped.

   Of course, I turned around...

    And felt my heart erupt.

Hinata stood deathly still and at first I assumed she had been stabbed. But then my eyes traveled to her knees. They were turned away from each other in the most horrible manner imaginable. And the purple monster standing in front of her was laughing.

      Laughing.

As if this whole thing was a game... As if it was a joke... As if disabling a person was fucking funny?!

I had to bite my tongue not to launch myself at the tyrant who had just humiliated my best friend. I closed my eyes, trying to calm Kurama, as he too had gotten awfully attached to the pale eyed girl. "Damn you."   I breathed out.

   "Oh yeah. Almost forgot."

At this point, Gaara was playing medic and Shino was covering for Hinata in case Purple decided to attack her again. And I was on the floor trying to help Sasuke get back to his senses. But we all looked at the savage in front of us as Hinata's suppressed whimpers echoed around us. "A certain someone told me to tell you..."

She stalked toward me and Sasuke. Shino tried to prevent her advance, but was thrown aside into a table by a seemingly invisible force. She crouched beside us, but I wasn't afraid, even though she could probably kill us in a matter of minutes.

She leaned into my ear, close enough that Sasuke could hear, but no one else in the room. "Sai says hello."

All of my anger vanished. What replaced it...?

   Fear.

My mind ran with all the things that the thought of him brought forth: gardens, tears, heartache, LIES.

Things I was afraid of. Things I never wanted to hear for the rest of my life.

   Purple chuckled at my reaction.

"Awwwe...! Lookie here...! Someone's afraid! Not just one! But two."

And the hated woman disappeared, leaving nothing but the eerie cry of a she-devils screams of Glee.

Hello!!  This took way too long to write. I know what your thinking...  why isn't it longer??

Unlike most of you, I can't write super long sections with plenty of action, suspense, and overall AMAZINGNESS.

I've got so much to learn... 😥

Nevertheless, u read this crappy piece of $hit. Thank u. I have the best supporters.

Indulge the human side of you,
