RILEY POV-

This is it! I'm finally going to Hogwarts with Ron!

"Riley! Ron!" I turned around and saw my mother catching up to us before we got on the train. She gave us some sandwiches and kissed our foreheads goodbye before pulling us into one of her famous bone crushing hugs. "Now you two be good! Listen to your brothers and the professors! And if I hear of you putting one toe out of line Ronald-"

"I know Mum. You'll be down there faster than Scabbers can fall asleep," my brother said with a lopsided smile. I pet the rat in question as he slept in my brother's hand.

The train whistled and we quickly boarded and looked out the window as our mother ran after us. She got to the end of the platform with my sister Ginny before waving once more and leaving.

I turned to Ron and nodded before walking around the train. I found a compartment that wasn't as full as the others and looked to one of the boys.

"Would it be alright if I sat in here?"

"I don't know. Can you afford it," he sneered. That's when I took in notice of his slightly unique hair color.

"Platinum Blonde. You must be a Malfoy," I said with an unamused tone of voice.

"Red hair and a hand me down robe. You must be a Weasley."

"Indeed I am. And there is nothing wrong with that. Besides, I act differently than most of my family so if you don't mind, I'll be sitting in here."

"You aren't getting a temper? I thought all of you Weasley's got offended when your wealth was mentioned."

"Why should I? Not everyone can have money and be complete gits while not everyone can have little money and still make the most of everything. Now move over blondie."

I sat next to him and he moved from the very middle to the right side. He smirked at me before holding out his hand.

"Draco."

I smirked back and did the same.

"Riley."

It was a long ride and the wait to be sorted was even worse. Ron is currently being sorted and I knew which house he would be placed in.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

The maroon and gold table went crazy while Ron sat himself near our brothers. I smiled before McGonagall called my name.

"Hmm. Another Weasley set this year," the hat asked as it was placed on my head. "Your name means courageous does it not? But at the same time... I don't know what to make of your mind. You are a very interesting Weasley that is for certain. Better be...

SLYTHERIN!"

The whole hall was silent. My eyes were wide before the hat was taken off my head and I started making my way towards the green and silver table. I sat next to Draco who was just as shocked as everyone else before I dared to take a look at my brothers.

The twins were both giving identical looks of shock, Ron's face was void of all emotion except for his rage filled eyes, Charlie seemed in thought about how well this would actually be, and Percy was fuming with anger.

I looked away and made a quick mental note to not talk with my third oldest brother for a few days.

I heard another Slytherin be sorted before the feast started and everyone ate. Although, I didn't eat much considering I felt a bit sick.

We were shown our dormitories and told the password by our prefects. When they finished their directions and left us alone I started to unpack my trunk at my bed. That's when I was approached by a pug faced girl.

"Riley right?"

"Yes. You'll have to forgive me since I'm not the best with names."

"That's alright. I'm Pansy. Pansy Parkinson."

"Pleasure to meet you."

"So are you really a Weasley?"

"Pansy! You can't just ask her that suddenly! You may be a Slytherin but have some decency," a dark haired girl said quickly.

"But Astoria-"

"It's fine. I don't really mind. Yes, I'm a Weasley. But I doubt I'll be after this."

"I doubt your family would do that to you. Sorry. I'm Astoria Greengrass. You've already met Pansy. The other two are Millicent and Tracey."

"Pleasure," Tracey said as she held out her hand to shake. I smiled slightly at her before Millicent did the same.

"So what do you mean? You think your family will disown you for being a Slytherin," Millicent asked.

"Probably. My mother is very hot headed and my father hates almost all things Slytherin. Especially the Malfoys."

"Draco's family," Pansy asked.

"You know them?"

"Yes. Our families have been friends for a long time. They keep trying to get Draco and I together but I don't like him like that. Truth be told, I'm more into Blaise."

"Blaise?"

"Why Zabini of course! The one who got sorted after you!"

"Sorry. I was watching my brothers react to my sorting."

"Brothers? How many of you are there?" Millicent asked as she ate a gummy slug.

"Well Bill has already graduated, Charlie is in his last year, Percy is a fifth year, Fred and George are third years, Ron and I are first years, and my sister Ginny will be a first year next year."

"Eight children!?" Tracey asked. "How do you manage?"

"It's quite hard. Especially when you only have one other girl who is very shy."

And the rest of the night was spent having a (surprisingly) wonderful conversation with the Slytherin girls.
