After that shot went off Jerome took off running while I raced to catch Sincere before he hit the ground.
"Oh my god!"
"Why didn't you just stay your lil small ass out the way ma?"
"I couldn't let you kill him"
"What you think I'm going do to him na?"
"Where is your phone? I need to call an ambulance"
"Nah, just call my brother"
"What? But you need to go to a hospital"
"Baby girl call my brother" he said pointing to his pocket.
Grabbing for his phone out his basketball shorts, I quickly slid it unlocked before searching up Nasir name. Hitting the call icon, I waited impatiently until he picked up.
"What's up Sin you good?"
"This is Aaliyah! Sincere was just shot!" I yelled into the phone panicky.
His blood was starting to get all over the floor and he'd started closing his eyes.
"I'm on my way" I heard him say before the phone was disconnected.
"Hey!" I called before slapping him hard across the face.
"What the fuck!" He yelped jumping up.
"Don't go to sleep, Nasir is on his way"
Ugh! I should've never jumped in front of him, but shit I couldn't just let him kill Jerome in front of me.
Yes, what Jerome did to me was fucked up but I still had mad love for him.

"Help me get my shirt off" Sincere said breaking me out my thoughts.

"So you can look for an exit wound. Don't worry I'll take yours off next. Now help me get my shirt off girl" he said again.
Trying to be careful not to hurt him anymore I lifted his shirt over his head and examined his wound. Although I didn't know shit I was looking for.
"Does it hurt?" I asked.
"Nah, but this isn't my first time getting shot so" he shrugged.
"What! You've been shot before?"
"A couple times" he chuckled.
"Are you crazy!"
