As Sabine explained to Marinette what a Soul-charm was, Marinette couldn't sit still. She couldn't wait until her first Soul-charm appeared. Sabine gently placed the charm bracelet on Marinette's arm. Marinette tested it to see if it could come off and found she couldn't. Suddenly a spark formed on the bracelet, giving way to her first charm, a black cat.
Marinette POV
Is he unlucky? Mysterious? Evil? I pondered as I looked at my charm that I had gotten yesterday. While your Soulmate almost always had the same, or very close, birthday as you, a lot of people had close birthdays around this time of year. I can't wait to tell Alya about this. She got her first charm last month, a pair of headphones. It was already obvious that she and Nino were soulmates, but it was confirmed by their charms. Sometimes the charms were that apparent,but a lot of people had to wait years to finally find their soulmate. "Marinette! You're gonna be late!" my mother called up to my room.
"Oh shoot!" I said in reply, running down the stairs and grabbing a quick crescent roll for breakfast. I dashed to school with just enough time to enter the classroom before the bell rung. Mrs. Boustier raised and eyebrow."You finally made it on time Marinette, I hope you make a habit of this." I looked down in embarrassment right as someone barged into me. "I'm so sorry!" we said at the same time.
