A Second Chance to Start Anew (Danny Phantom/Young Justice Crossover Fanfic)

Six years ago

Dick - Age Seven

Third Person POV

There were three children, two boys and a girl, who were waiting to go and perform after their parents. They are the children of the Grayson's, Richard (Dick) Grayson was the oldest of the three, just two years older than them. Danny and Sora Grayson were twins, Danny having been born just a couple minutes before Sora. They were entranced by their parent's performance, just like everyone else watching. But the three children saw something amiss with the trapeze bar their parents were using. They didn't say anything until it was too late.

"Mom! Dad!" the three children cried out, watching their parents fall down to the ground, no net to catch them. "No!" they cried out, rushing over to them from where they were. There were police sirens and ambulance sirens blaring in the background, but the children didn't notice it. They were busy staring at their parent's lifeless forms.

"Dick mami si tati vor fi bine, nu? (Dick, mommy and daddy are going to be alright, right?)" Sora asked, holding onto her twin's arms as she looked at their parents. (A/N: Sora understands and speaks English, but slips into Romanian when overcome by emotions, positive and negative. Her brothers understand her and speak in Romanian, but choose English sometimes.) "Da. Ele sunt doar odihnesc acum. (Yes. They are just resting now.)" Dick said to her and her brother with tears in his eyes, not having the heart to tell them the truth.

Soon, the children were rushed to a hospital to see if they were injured. After that, the police came and took them to an orphanage, seeing as they were orphans now.

One year later/Five years ago

Dick - Age Eight

Danny - Age Six

Sora - Age Six

Third Person POV

The little Grayson twins were being interview by the Fenton's to get adopted. The twins didn't want to be separated from their older brother, but he assured them that everything was going to be ok. "Shh, shh. Totul va fi bine. Ne vom mai vedea din nou într-o zi. (Shh, shh. Everything is going to be alright. We'll see each other again someday.)" Dick told them as they hugged, tears in the twins eyes as they were going to be separated from their brother. "Promise?" Danny asked, looking up. "Promise." Dick said to him, smiling a small smile.

The twins left with their new parent's not turning back so they don't cry and run back to their brother. Dick was just standing there, watching. A couple days after, Dick was adopted by Bruce Wayne.

At the Moment of GIW capture/After Phantom Planet (with some minor changes)

Dick - Age Eleven

Third Person POV

Danny and Sora were currently flying at high speed, trying to get away from the GIW. They couldn't believe what happened a few hours ago. Their adopted parents, dead. Their friends, dead. Their step-sister, dead. All because of the GIW being jerks. Soon after they started flying, the GIW started to follow in their jets, firing Ecto-Ranium coated nets and capturing the two halfas. The twins started to shout in pain from the nets. "Shut up. Ghosts can't feel pain." one of the agents said, kicking the two.

*Danny, how you holding out?* Sora asked Danny from their mind link. *Fine, but what now?* Danny asked back, both of them getting brought onto a plane to be taken to the GIW HQ for experiments. *Do you think that Dick will save us?* Sora asked as they were thrust into a ghost-proof cell. *I don't know Sora. I don't know.* Danny replied back sadly.

Over at the Bat Cave, a certain birdy has a bad feeling in his gut. 'Something bad is going on. But what?' Robin thought to himself. "DICK!" two voices, a male and female shouted, but it seemed to be in Robin's head. They sounded in pain. "Is something the matter, Master Dick?" Alfred asked. "I'm fine. It's nothing." Robin reassured the butler. 'What was that? Or rather, who was that? It sounded familiar.' Robin thought to himself, looking over stuff to figure out where his younger brother and sister were.

Back at the GIW, the twins were breathing heavily, having been thrown back into the cell after being cut up with Ecto-Ranium coated scalpels. 'Dick. Please. Help us.' the twins thought with tears threatening to flow down.
