Standing by the window, looking out into the sky. I hated that phone call, the one I got when I heard both Roderick and Tinashe were in an accident.
Roderick is like my bestfriend, the one person I can turn too.
He helped me through my trouble when I was struck by that car, on crutches for almost 2.
months.
My heart stopped, thinking about the baby. I tried to fight back the tears. The worst came to mind.
Placing my hand over my face to hide my tears of sorrow. Feeling a hand on my back, I could tell by the touch who it was.
Keke: - Rubbing my back softly and slowly.- " Shh, calm down....Please.... "
Craig: - Fighting through my tears, trying to regain myself. - " I....I can't...." - Choking on my words. - " I just.... Feel his pain.... "
Keke: - Her eyes filled with tears, shaking her head. Burying her face into my chest. - " Please......Lord....Please.... "
Jacob and Shay sat quietly. He had his rosary in his hand with his eyes closed, while she leaned against him.
Zendaya sat with Gail and Romeo. Shaking her head. We were all waiting for the news. The positive news.
Roderick's mom walked out with the doctor. I stood up to my feet, she looked at all of us. Coming to me.
Mrs. Young: "..Craig, can you come with me please?... Alone...? "
Nodding my head, Keke let go of my hand. I followed Mrs. Young down the hall, towards a room.
My heart raced, emotions unstable.
We both walked in. Seeing Roderick laying in the bed, he looked out of it. Yet he managed to small seeing me.
Roderick: " This thing better not clash with my tux. " - Holding up his arm that was in a hard cast. -
Craig: " You big goof. " - Pulling up a chair by his bed. -
Roderick: - Eyes halfway closed, he smiled. - " I should've watched the road... Like Ti said.... "
My eyes darted around, not knowing how to ask.
Roderick: " They're both ok. She's just shaken up, the drunk driver hit my side. Blue Bullet is gone, gotta go car searching soon. "
He hasn't changed at all. Just taller and bigger. I never knew why weren't as close and cool like now.
