Two days later....
"So he said he can't do this anymore and kicked you out?"
I sat across from aliyah on the long couch in my living room, both of us sipping on ventis from Starbucks- mine a cookie crumbled frap and hers a passion tea- with a box of pizza in between us. She had came over bearing these claiming we were going to have a "besties day" since we haven't seen each other for a while. That was Niall's fault. If he didn't mess with my head my life would be simpler.
Twenty minutes into 'the other woman' aliyah noticed something was wrong with me, and paused the movie while demanding me to talk to her.
That's when I spilled everything. From the first time Niall and I hooked up all up til two days ago, when he kicked me out. She didn't even seem shocked to hear that Niall and I had been sleeping together. Her lips simply twitched up into a smile as she sipped on her tea while nodding along to everything I was saying; it was almost as if she expected me to say something like this.
I sighed and nodded, "I don't know what happened. One minute we were fighting, the next we were- well, you know.... the one after that he was making us brunch, and then he was snapping at me."
"Well, Niall has always had a bit of a short fuse."
"I know, but I can always tell what sets him off. This time I have no clue."
Aliyah hummed in acknowledgement. She took a moment to think, before speaking once again:
"Maybe he was jealous of Grant; probably wants you all to himself you know?"
I sighed, "I thought that at first too. But if that was really the case then why would he continue sleeping with me all this time?"
"Because you're a knockout," she shrugged, "Niall practically goes hard at the sight of you."
With my face flushed I reached over the box of pizza and slapped her on her shoulder, which only caused her to laugh at my reaction to her vulgar words.
"What? It's true. I actually feel like he was programmed for that to happen...."
"Shut up." I muttered, though I knew if I were to look into a mirror right now, my cheeks would be slightly rosy.
"Anyways, " I continued, picking back up the conversation, " I don't think it's that."
I took a moment to think back to that day; how his only concern was to know if Grant and I had slept together yet. And after he got his answer, he kicked me out.
"He kept asking me if Grant and I have slept together yet," I shook my head, "I don't see why it would matter though..."
I trailed off when Aliyah rolled her eyes at me and sighed. I raised up an eyebrow.
"What?"
"You didn't tell me that earlier. If you did, I could've told you why he was so upset right away."
"Well, do you wanna tell me now?"
Aliyah rolled her eyes at me again. Apparently the answer was so obvious.
"Daniella, he's obviously pissed off because you slept with Grant. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal to you but it is to him. "
"I thought he'd know already though. I mean, grant and I have been seeing each other for awhile now."
Aliyah shrugged as if it was simple, "it's because he's still in love you. Just like you are with him."
I didn't say anything to that. I knew that I still loved Niall. I had come to that conclusion while I was on my date with Grant, the day Niall kicked me out. My mind was stuck on the blonde Irish boy through the whole date, as I tried to seem like I was having a good time.
