"wasn't enough"

I tried so hard to be my best,

But I never was like the rest.

I changed my all and gave my time

to become what you were trying to find.

I tried so hard to become perfect,

I realize now it wasn't worth it.

Because the standards you had set for me,

Were to high up for me too see.

Though I climbed and climbed and climbed,

The top was never for me to find.

The mountain you created to find a friend

Blocked one out in the end.

No matter what equipment I tried to find,

It did not matter for it was not for me to climb.

Though it's big and in my view

That job is not for me to do.

It hurts me to say I'm not enough for you,

But like they say: "Painful is the truth."
