Dec knew Ant recognised him. He knew it the moment he looked Ant in the eyes. Those beautiful eyes with a colour he could not describe. Those beautiful eyes he still remembered from that one night. "Can I have a selfie please?" Dec was torn out of his thoughts by Emma. "Uh, of course you can, come 'ere." Ant had forced a smile on his face and took the selfie with Emma. "Thank you so much!" Emma said enthusiastically. She didn't seem to feel the tension between the two men and skipped away happily. Dec wanted to walk after his niece, but he was stopped by an uncertain voice. "Dec?" Ant asked. Dec turned around. "I don't know whether it's a good thing to do, but..." Ant said and he showed Dec a card with his number on. Dec smiled shyly and took the card. "Uncle Dec?" He heard. "I really have to..." Dec said. Ant smiled and waved weakly.
Dec looked at the card in his hand. Anthony McPartlin. Should he? He really wanted to see Ant again, but he was so afraid. Anthony McPartlin was fucking famous! And not out, otherwise he would've heard it from Emma. But he had slept with him! Dec sighed and palmed his eyes with his hands. What did he have to do?
"Did I do a good thing by giving him my number?" Ant asked Stephen. "You really like him, don't you?" Stephen asked with a grin on his face. "Shush, I just want to get to know him better." Ant answered. He couldn't get his phone fast enough when it beeped.
Your subscription is renewed. We hope you enjoy it.
Ant threw his phone on the table in frustration. "Not Dec?" Stephen guessed. "No, my phone subscription." Ant mumbled. His phone beeped again, but Ant didn't showed any signs of taking it. "You should watch it." Stephen said. "I always get two messages when my subscription in renewed, I don't want to read it." Ant mumbled frustrated. Stephen sighed and took Ant's phone. He read who had sent the last message. "Ant, you really should read this." Stephen said. Ant sighed and took his phone from his best friend. His face lighted up when he read the message.
Hi Anthony! Do you fancy a cup of coffee together some time? Declan.
"It's him, isn't it?" Stephen asked. Ant didn't answer but started a new message immediately.
Dec took a deep breath before he entered the coffee house where he would meet up with Ant. When he was inside, he saw the man immediately in the furthest corner of the room. Dec's heart speeded up and he didn't know how to breath normally anymore while he walked to that table. "Hi." Ant said shyly again. A piece of Dec wanted to slam Ant against the wall and torn him into pieces, he looked so good! Instead, he just smiled and sat down.
The conversations didn't go as smooth as both of the boys wanted. Dec started to laugh suddenly. "Shit, we're so awkward." Ant laughed. "We are. Okay, let's start again." Ant grinned. "Okay, what are your hobbies?" Dec asked. Ant laughed. "I'm one of those lucky guys who could make his hobby his job." Ant started. "But beside acting, I'm a heavy football supporter and I play golf." Ant smiled. "I'm obsessed with football! What team do you support?" Dec asked. "They're not that good right now, but I'm a big fan of Newcastle United FC." Ant admitted. Dec didn't know what he heard. "You're kidding me, right?" He asked. "I'm not. Why?" Ant asked. "Seriously? I thought I was the only black and white supporter in the entire UK!" Dec answered.
The awkwardness was quickly forgotten now the boys had found something they had in common. Dec couldn't help but feel butterflies in his stomach when he looked at the man in front of him.
