When Taylor Joseph was born, his birth certificate said female. It didn't take long for him to realize that maybe it was wrong.
Taylor smiled brightly as the camera shuttered, taking a picture of her and her friends. They were her closest friends ever since childhood, their mothers being the ones who introduced them all in the first place. They were always together, no matter the day or hour. They were like a family of their own, and Taylor was happy and proud to say she was part of that family.
Her best-friend, Jenna, hugged her tightly from behind "We should stop by at Connor's today! Bring him pizza as a get well gift!". Taylor nodded, because yes, if there was anything that would make Connor feel better, it was pizza. Connor had been sick for a little over two days, and Jenna, being his girlfriend, was ecstatic to be able to hang out with him again.
Their group consisted of Taylor and Jenna, Jenna's boyfriend Connor, Connor's best-friend Michael, and his girlfriend Emily. They'd all been friends since fifth grade, when they were sent to church camp from the summer, and it's been history since then.
They were all at the park, it being a sunny day and they decided to take a stroll. Emily and Michael were the ones who suggested it, saying that it would be a great day to take pictures and just take a breath of fresh air. Ultimately, they all agreed to go, so Jenna went over to Taylor's house (since they both lived on the same street) and they waited for Emily and Michael together.
Jenna was a ball of literal sunshine, she could make anyone happy and was the person to go to if you ever needed a shoulder. Jenna had been there for Taylor in the highest and lowest points in her life, never did she turn her back and never did she leave. Taylor could honestly say that without Jenna, she wouldn't be who she is this day. Connor was an awkward kid, Taylor didn't really know what made Jenna love him so much, but he was sweet and accepting. He was always polite and respectful and even the slightest tease could make him blush a thousand shades of red. His voice was soft when he spoke, and sometimes he wasn't the brightest light bulb in the package, but no one is perfect. Michael was Connor's best friend, and the kid was all brains. He was a secret mathlete, loved history and psychology, he was going places. He always had smart comments to say and he knew the most random facts that you couldn't even bother to think about. He was charming and had a way with words, and sometimes you weren't quite sure if he was complementing you or throwing shade. But nonetheless, he was something. Emily was a sort of hippy girl. She was more in touch with nature than anything else. They often described her as the sun, her heart was pure and her actions spoke a million times louder than her words. She stood up for what was right, and even though they thought that she still hadn't left her childhood, she could be the most mature out of them all when she needed to be.
Quickly enough, they all agreed to go to town and get pizza. And after they did, they all headed to Connor's place. His mom was working so he was alone, and they came just in time since apparently he was starving.
After a long evening of laughter and jokes, and just plain happiness, Taylor thought that really, she was blessed. Her life was perfect and she could never imagine herself anywhere else. She belonged here, this was her place. So, when she went home, she thanked her God for her life, kissed her mom on the cheek, hugged her older brother and sister, and went to bed with a smile on her face.
And, end scene one. This is a short chapter, only 600 (almost 700) words. Next chapter will be longer though :') Oh, and yes, this is a Joshler story, but it's a bit of a slow burn? Is that the expression? But not really? This story is supposed to be very short, I don't quite think it will get to ten chapters. By the way, in this fic, Tyler is a biological female, and he later on transitions to male. Just clearing it out. If you have any questions just ask! And comments and votes are very gladly appreciated! Anyhow, bye-bye!
Stay happy my friends, <3
