Never Forget Nor Forgive

Prolouge

Out of breath I look at my opponent. A beast of unimaginable strength and power. I feel the pain of several broken bones, fractures, and bruises. My blood pours down my broken arm and face slow and thick like molasses. My shattered sword lyes in my only remaining arm. My vision blurs from the bleeding and my right eye has been cut bad enough that it will need to be removed. I must forget the pain, I must fight so others may see the light of tomorrow.

Never before have I been pushed this far past my limit. I raise my head to face the beast. I see a brilliant white ball of light, then the light turns black, black like the night. Then it comes straight at me. I couldn't dodge, it goes straight through my chest. My lifeless body lies there cold as ice, my hair has been dyed red from the blood, and the pain has ended. 

I feel the myself being engulfed in the darkness, it's cold and damp. Is this it the feeling of death, the feeling of utter defeat, no I cannot accept this. I feel a warmth I see the spirits of the ones I love. My arm is replaced by a light version of my arm. My eye has healed. My sword is repaired and is in my new arm. I rise I look at my chest where it was pierced. The bleeding has stopped but the hole is still there, it hurts as I feel my heart begin to hurt. I begin a chant that came to me ...

" Excalibur the holy blade, corrupted
  Strength of Hercules, gone
  Wisdom of Athena, nothing
  Screams of many, remain
  Immortal Dragon, falls
  NEVER FORGET, NEVER FORGIVE
  Those who take, but never give
  In this life or another
  Perish, die, SUFFER"

Darkness fades as I fall countless feet to the surface. A sharp pain appears in my chest as the hole closes up with a large red gem with a black center, that then turns a lifeless grey and shatters. I hit the ground and turn to ashes. Out of my ashes lies my sword that has been with me for countless battles and even more lifetimes. I can now rest eternally in peace.
