The afternoon hallways of beacon hills high school are always busy, and I absolutely hate it. I just want to get home, cuddle my cat, and sleep.

But I guess the universe was against me today.

As I shut my locker and attempted to get to my car, a boy with an uneven jawline and floppy hair bumped into me. In the process, making me drop my book and keys, along with my body.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," The uneven jawlined kid exclaimed.

I chuckled, a light smile on my face. "It's fine, happens all the time."

He tilts his head in bewilderment, as if hes studying me. In the process, he dropped down to pick up my book. He then goes to extend his hand to help me up.

"At least let me be a nice person and help you up."

I look up at him, amazed. People usually just push me down and walk away. I then break out into a smile, and accept his hand.

He smiles back, then lets go of my hand.

"Well, I'm-"

"Scott!"

He groans, looking back down at me. Considering he was about a head taller than me.

"Sorry, I have to go. Nice meeting you! Kira, I'm coming hold on!" He yells at the girl that called out his name.

Well, that was anticlimactic, I thought. I just shrug and walk out to my car.
