The next day, after school, Sam went straight to the place El had told him to visit. It was a dirty warehouse, perhaps in disuse for decades. There were many caches of useless things, everything in there was either rusted or rotten.

“Walk to your left and pull the lever,” A voice came.

Sam came into action immediately. He looked around searching for the source of the voice but, couldn't find one. Although, he was a private investigator, he never carried a gun, partly because of his age and partly because of his righteous belief, he was strictly against taking a life. Meanwhile, he also knew that El would never try to harm him, although he kept on befooling him.

“Don’t even think that you are gonna find me. I am not here, although I can see and hear you. Just do whatever I tell you,” The voice came again.

Sam's predator sharp eyes finally found the lever and pulled it. A platform rose from the ground and a window popped up, demanding Sam to input the password. He tried to input some relevant words like 'Theos' 'El Nico' and others, but none worked. There were no ports through which Sam could hack it.

Having made sure he had tried everything he could, he left for Darren. They talked at length about what they have been up to.

“Darren! I have heard that Paul has got other estates in the countryside,” Sam finally spoke the reason why he visited.

“Yeah! He has one in the south eastern suburbs, but, why would you ask?” Darren enquired.

“I was planning to buy it,” Sam replied.

“Are you serious!” Darren exclaimed, but remembering Sam’s riches, continued, “I will fix your appointment with him whenever you say.”

“No! No! You must finalize the deal yourself. I will pay whatever price you settle at. After all you will bargain much better than me,” Sam said, a bit terrified at the idea of meeting a stranger, even though, the stranger was his landlord.

“That's fine! I will talk to him tomorrow itself,” Darren replied.

Darren was so happy about this. This deal would make his life.  Paul had already promised him five percent of any further deals he comes up with, pleased at the perfect tenant he had brought. This guy was an angel, bringing him good luck, ever since he met him.
