The night of the confession

After a few hours of spending time with Shadow, it was getting dark. Shadow then grabbed your arm and said, "I wanna show you something." He then picked you up, and skated off somewhere. A few minutes later, he stopped. "We're here," he said. He puts you down, and you looked around wide-eyed. You and him were in front of a lake where the moon's reflection was in the center. A full moon was shining brightly in the starry night sky. "Wow...this place looks...beautiful," you say, surprised. "But...why did you bring me here?" Shadow walked up to you and said, "I found this place. It was a very beautiful place. I come here at times when I think to myself." "Oh," you say. "Um...Shadow?" "Yes?" Shadow asked, looking at you. "Why were you by the cliff? Did you know I was gonna fall?" You ask. "Well...not really," he said. A depressed look came across his face. "It's just that I...I...." "What is it?" You ask. "I was...I was just...walking alone...by myself.... And...when I saw you jump off that cliff, I came to save you." "I still don't understand. Why were you by yourself? And why did you save me?" Shadow gazed at the lake and sighed. "It's just...I had a friend. A very special friend. Her name was Maria. She was the only one who cared about me." Just then, he started to tear up. "But...when the humans...came to the Ark... they killed the only person who was ever close to me." You then walked up to Shadow. "I'm so sorry, Shadow," you say. "And...I rescued you because...I promised Maria to help all the people who lived here.... And be friends with them...." He then looked at you. "But when I met you, you were different from the rest of them." "I am?" You ask. "Well...yeah.... I mean...I've never felt closer to anyone else in my life." Shadow then held your hands. You blushed as he held them. He looked up at you and smirked. "What's that blush all about?" He asked, smirking. You then blushed redder. "N-n-nothing." "Looks like something to me. Is it something...you like?" He then kissed your hands. You began to giggle and blush redder and redder. "Has anyone also told you that you look so adorable when you glow like that?" You blushed so mad, you felt warm. "N-n-n-n-no." Your heart thumped faster and faster. He then leaned toward you. His nose touching your nose. "Well I do. I'd say you have to be the cutest thing I've ever seen." "R-r-really?" You ask. "More than anything." His lips then touched your lips in a small, delicate kiss. As soon as he stopped, your eyes were super wide, your face turned deep, deep red, and your heart was beating faster, and faster, and faster! "Oh...you sly hedgehog," you say. "Oh come on. You know you love me," Shadow smirked. It then hit you. From the moment he said that, it was true. You fell in love with him from the moment he rescued you from that cliff. Like love at first sight. You then leaned toward him and said, "You know...I actually do." Shadow gave you a wink and another smirk, and you kissed again. This time a little longer. After you broke the kiss, you both gazed into each others' eyes. "I love you too, __________," Shadow said. "You wanna be my boyfriend?" You ask. But then, Shadow said, "No." Right when you thought your life was gonna end, he asked, "But I do need to ask you this." He then puts his hand on your cheek, and stroked your hair. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Your eyes welled up with tears and you screamed, "YES! YES I WILL SHADOW! I WILL!!!" You then wrapped his arms around his neck, choking him. "Oh...okay...__________...that's enough!" Shadow said, choking. "I'm sorry," you say. "I just feel so happy. My heart is pounding like crazy." Shadow smiled at you, and you smiled back. "I love you, __________," he said. "I love you too, Shadow the Hedgehog," you say. You then both kissed each other, passionately. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around your waist. And from that moment on, you and Shadow spent time together every day. You both have never been happier. It was always the best days of your life every time you and him were together.
