As my father left the room, the Doctor pulled up a chair to my bedside.
"so how are you feeling Berwald?" the unidentified man , who i'm guessing is the Doctor asked.
Then I woke up with a start gasping for air . I guess I i cried myself to sleep , and relived ma's death.
DING.DING. i heard the doorbell down stairs breaking me out of thought. I searched my room for my glasses before heading downstairs to open the door. It was Taru.
"Hey Berwald Whe-" she stopped mid-sentence to look at me.
I guess I looked pretty bad because she just wrapped her arms around me and whispered soothing words into my ear.
"Oh Bear i'm so sorry. It's gonna be alright. It's okay I got you. I'm here" And then the water works started.
I couldn't hold it any more I fell on my knees (she came down with me of course) , and i held her like she was the only thing keeping me anchored. She said nothing, she just let me hold her , and rocked us back and forth.Eventually i was out of tears , but she still let me hold her while rubbing circles on my back.The silence was finally broken by a loud beeping sound which was silenced by Taru pulling out her phone and answering it.
"hei,mikä hätänä [1]" she said in her native tongue. i guessed they asked her where she was because she said "Olen Berwald" she said "umhum" and then hung up
"hey Bear My parents want me to come home." and then added "will you be alright?"
" hmm" I Hummed
She just looked me in the eyes "Bear I'm being serious. will you be OK?"
i just nodded making her sigh. She stood up help me up , and pull me down so we were the same height looked me in the eye, and kissed me. I was in shocked at first , but then slowly i put my arms around her ,pulling her closer ,and initiating that I was dominant.We both let go , so we could breathe. I looked at her, cheeks flushed , hair in her face. She was beautiful.
"jag älskar dig"[2] i mumbled before picking her up , spinning her around.
she giggled, and i put her down. "I love you too Bear " she whispered before kissing my cheek.
"ill see you tomorrow right?" she asked,but i didn't have the heart to tell her i couldn't. A tear slid down my cheek.
"Yeah " i whispered "i'll see you tomorrow i chocked out.
"Bear ? what is it your not telling me ?
i looked above her so I wouldn't have to see her eyes.
"I wont be able to see you for two weeks " i sighed.
"what ! why?"
I said nothing as i grabbed my hoodie, and my jacket. i put my jacket on , and put the hoodie on her.
"come on" I said said picking her up so she could get on my back. we walk out the house , and i closed the door.The "Walk" if that's what you call it was relatively quite. When we were close to her house i said "look i'm sorry but it's for you safety"
"what do you need to protect you from?"
"i cant tell you. just ....look i want you to stay safe , go to school. i'll be back before you know it."
I felt warm liquid hit my neck.
"Taru?" i asked " are you OK?"
she sniffled and shook her head no, making her hair fly everywhere. We made it to her street , and i put her down.
"hey look at me" I said holding her chin up, but she pulled her face away and her tears flew into the direction of her resistance. I just sighed and pulled her into my chest.
"Ok Ok .... i'll call everyday deal?"
"deal" she said pouting. I nodded and picked her back up walking the rest of the way to her house as she rested her head on my shoulder. When we reached her house i rung the doorbell.
"hello " her mother said to me
"Hello " i said back "come Taru hop down were here"
"no she mumbled into my neck
Her mom just looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders and set her on her feet.
"come on Hun it's getting late come in " her mother said. Taru reluctantly let go of me walking into the house.
"night Berwald" Taru's mother said before closing the door.
As i walked of the porch , and started walking. Taru's front door was thrown open and something came out of it , running towards me, tackling me to the ground. I grunted on impact , and said up to see a crying Taru. Her parents stood on the porch.
"Berwald please! Don't go ! don't leave me !" she cried. My heart broke , but I knew staying was not a possibility.
"Bear! please" she whispered. i pet her hair , and nodded to a promise i couldn't keep.
"ok" I said cupping her face giving her a chaste kiss.
"come on Taru you have to go home " I said lifting both of us of the ground. As we walked back she laced her finger through mine , holding my hand.When we got to her porch I let her hand slip out of mine before whispering "I love you" and she hugged me good bye , very reluctant to let go but went inside after a minute. As i walked home street lights flickered on , and I broke into a sprint racing them. When i arrived home i threw open the door panting as i closed it.
"Where were you!" the voice I knew all to well yelled from the shadow.
Shiz i thought when did he get back? This is unfortunately going to be one hell of a week.
