You woke up in Snake's arms. His eyes were closed, but you doubted he was asleep. You shifted a bit, and his eyes snapped open.
"Feel any better, my little python?" He grinned. Your face warmed a little at the name, but you quickly moved away from him and nodded. You got to your feet.
"Protoman is taking me out today so that we can get me a new camera." You glanced back at Snake. He devilishly smiled, his eyes flashing with interest.
He moved closer. "You're planning on leaving, yes? Getting out of this place?"
You gave a small nod. He closed his eyes for a second. "While it is fun having you around to toy with, you need to return home. Do everything you can to get away." Snake got to his feet.
"I think you can do it, python." The nickname still made you cringe. And with that, the robot exited the lounge and left you alone. A few minutes more of thinking, and you hopped up to go to the kitchen.
You passed a rather nervous Crash Man on the way. You gave him a small wave and a smile.. but he wouldn't look at you.
You brushed it off as nothing. After a quick breakfast in the kitchen, a shower, and a change of clothes, you met Protoman and Wily at the exit. You weren't permitted to be around this area typically.
"I realized I hadn't given you too many warm clothes, so I found this jacket for you." Wily gave a smile. He handed you a small fur jacket. You slipped it on and quietly gave him your thanks. Being near the old man was a struggle now. After your conversations with Snake, you felt even more on edge around him. This frail old man was a villain.
A murderer.
"I want you two to be careful, okay?" Wily sounded rather kind for the moment, but that didn't last long.
"And you will return here when you are finished, whether you like it or it." His grip on his cane tightened, and you took a deep breath and nodded.
You had been conflicted over this ever since you woke up. You wanted to go home more than anything, and Snake had encouraged you. But Quick hadn't. Quick had urged you to do as Protoman says. Your abdomen wound was all healed up, and you really didn't feel like getting hit again. And if you were sure about anything Quick had said, you were most sure that Protoman wouldn't be forgiving.
Wily gave a smile as Protoman seemed ready to leave. The old man opened his arms, expecting a hug from you. You were reluctant, a scowl forming on his face a moment later. So you gave in and gave him an uncomfortably long hug.
Once you were able to pull away, you said goodbye. Protoman lead you out, and to a large circular pad in the grass. The ocean splashed on the shore. You hadn't thought about it, but you were on an island. Proto lead you onto the circular pad, and took your hand.
You quickly jerked it away.
"Hey! What are you doing?" You glared.
"Oh quit, I'm not trying to hold your hand like I like you or anything, I have to hold it while we teleport." You could almost feel him roll his eyes under those shades.
"Wait. Teleport?" You blinked. You'd never even heard of it being a thing, you didn't know anybody could do that!
"How did you think we were gonna get there?" He snatched your hand again. You glanced away uncomfortably, and then closed your eyes. He obviously noticed, and laughed at you a little bit.
All of a sudden, you felt flightless. At the same time that this lasted a second, it felt like it lasted an eternity. It felt like gravity had no effect.. but after that first second was over, you felt sick to your stomach. You two were standing on the sidewalk of a busy town. The world tilted and your stomach lurched. You made a run for a trash can, and emptied the contents of your stomach into it while passerbys gave you ugly looks.
