Once back at Wily's castle, you were immediately brought to Wily's room by Crash Man. He said nothing to you. Proto left and disappeared to god knows where.

Once you entered Wily's room, you brought your hand to your mouth with a violent gasp. Wily stood, cane in hand and a scowl to accompany it, next to a familiar.. broken.. robot.

Snake Man was propped up against the wall. A giant hole had been torn through his chest, and after a few glanced to Crash's drills... you could put together what had happened. His mischievous green eyes were no longer glancing about, his lips no longer formed rather creepy smirks, and his mouth would no longer call you stupid nicknames.

"This is what happens when you disobey me, when you plot against me." He said, angrily.

"Since Snake Man was encouraging you to escape, that encouraged me to get rid of him."

Your eyes watered. You were going to be honest. It's not like Snake was that close to you or anything, but he seemed really nice after he got his programming fixed. He held you while you cried. He encouraged you to leave. He had genuinely cared about your well being.

And if he hadn't, he would still be alive.

Alive may not be the word.

Active? This wasn't the time for that.

Wily glared at you. "Now, I will have Crash Man escort you to your room. You are no longer permitted to leave it. I will have him come bring you to dinner. We will be eating dinner together. Do you understand?"

"Please. Please Wily, just let me go home. I'm not her." You shook your head, looking into his beast little eyes for any sliver of sympathy. But you found only cold hatred.

"I don't know what you're talking about." His grip on his came tightened, you could see the blue veins sticking out from under his wrinkled skin.

"I'm not your daughter. You have to let go. You have to let me go. My family misses me. Please."

The old man stood and stared at you in disbelief. Was this it? Was he going to let you go?

Smack.

The old man had raised his cane, and brought it down on your face. You gasped, clutching a hand to your now injured cheek.

"You will not speak to me about my own daughter! You will learn your place when speaking to me! Your only contact will be me, and Crash Man. Now, go!" His eyes burned with fire, and your cheek did as well.

Crash Man pointed a drill at you, obviously as a threat. You rolled your eyes at the stupid robot, and gave Snake Man's inactive body one last look before exiting.

It was your fault Wily deactivated him.

And now you'd have to live with that.

With a sigh, you and the drill robot headed to your room. Once inside, you heard the door lock.

It was as you had left it. Boring.

You sat on the edge of your bed, and hot tears rose to your eyelids, but you wiped them away. You weren't going to let Wily get to you this time.

You lied down and stuck your legs under the blanket.. but felt something metal. You shrieked in surprise and threw the blankets to the side to reveal a... metal snake. One of Snake Man's robots. And in its closed mouth was a folded up sheet of paper.

You could have laughed, if everything wasn't so grim.

You gently removed the sheet of paper and unfolded it. All that was on it was the words "behind the dresser" and a crude drawing of a snake slithering through some flowers.
