I reach my locker after catching a glimpse of Cameron peeking around the corner to see if I have gotten to the locker. I quickly snatch my bag out of my locker. I shove my binder, writing notebook, and my favorite book  " The Black Forest" into the empty bag. Slammed my locker shut and locked it with force. I don't want to be stopped by someone like the girls at lunch.

I speedily decided to go to the area where I get picked up. While I had been rushing, I didn't realize that Cameron was watching me and following me.

I find a place to sit and to read by myself. But not for long, a few boys walk over and snatch my book out of my weak and fragile hands and starts to criticize my book that I so deeply cherish.

He tries to take my note book from me, when Cameron runs over, snatches the book from the boy, and pushes the him. Cameron then helped my up and and ran off, just like that and he was gone.

"What just happened" I silently say to myself, as I swiftly walked away from the boy still on the ground looking as confused as I was. Once I had gotten
far enough away. I sat down, hoping to be left in peace to read and think.
              * Time passes*
   It's 5:00 and everyone has left the campus as I'm sitting in the afternoon breeze, forgotten by my mother. I start to walk home in the chilly afternoon air when I remember I have to study for my science exam tomorrow.

   Eventually, I reach my home. No cars in drive way. My mother is out or working late to make up for the money my father used to pay. I slowly grab my keys out of my bag to open the door.

    Once I got inside the house, I closed the door, stumbled up the stairs and into my room dropping my things onto the floor. I plop down on my bed and think. Think about how Cameron was protecting me.

    It's just about dark and the sun has completely gone down when I get up to make some dinner, so I don't starve to death.

Afterwards, I sit down in my bed about to read, debating if I should take a shower now or if I should shower in the morning. After a long time of thinking about it, I decide to shower in the morning and read now.

   Reading and listening to music are my ways to escape from reality.
