Hearing a howl in the distance caused my eyes to open and ears perk up scanning the area. I growled a warning growl only to hear a small whimper, I see a white pup and a blonde pup wrestling and fell from the bushes. I wolf chuckled seeing them, it was the Alpha's 10 year old daughter, Anna, and her best friend the third in command's daughter Nixi. 'Alexandria? What are you doing over here?' Anna chirped running over to me cuddling into my dark brown almost black fur. 'I could be asking you the same thing little one. James and your parents will be mad when they hear that you are out near the river.'I smiled nudging her.
'I know, but we were playing and seems like we got to close to the border.' Anna whined. The river was the borderline, that seperates our lands and the lands of the most ruthless uncivilized pack in the entire World. They are said to be medieval themed, they train until they die and fight until they die. The women are treated worse then our pack and are used as anger releases, the men beat on the women until they die. They rape women to carry pups and then train the pups on how to kill from the minute they can walk. They are taken from their mothers at birth only for the mother's to begin the cycle again.
'To be at the border, we are a good hundred miles out in the forest. You know the Alpha will be furious.' I warned her standing up, hearing something move in some bushes I look up seeing a blonde wolf on the other side of the boarder. I stood in front of Nixi and Anna.'What are you doing? We are not allowed to fight! It means treason!' Nixi whimpered. 'No one here is fighting, I am just letting you guys run now!' I barked at them and they turned only to whimper. I turned and groaned inwardly.
'Just what were thinking of doing? Were you going to try and fight? Women can't fight, they are not worthy!' James snarled as he stalked forward, the blonde wolf watching us with curiosity. James shifted pulling on shorts and stared at the wolf, I could not tell the gender and the wind was blowing its way so it could smell us but we couldn't smell it. "Who are you and what do you want?" James snarled out. The blonde wolf just walked forward till it reached the river and bent down keeping It's eyes on us, it was lapping up water quickly.
"Answer me! Shift! I am soon to be alpha James. Not shift!" The power shook the girls and I just watched as the blonde wolf seemed to smirk. Thundering paws seemed to echo through the air, Looking back I seen Alpha Todd running up and the Blonde wolf looked shocked. It stopped drinking for a second and then continue drinking as Alpha Todd shifted. "What the hell are you 3 doing out here?! Get back now!" Alpha Todd snarled and we started backing up as the pups whimpered.
"That's not how you treat them." A deep voice spoke, it held power, more power than Alpha Todd, it must have been the Alpha. "Beta Ian, we are on our territory so do not interfere." Alpha Todd snarled and I gawked, he was beta and radiating power that strong. "Know who is stronger mutt." The voice growled, looking over I saw this guy, dam he was sexy. He had bright piercing blue eyes and brown messy hair and stubble forming on. He had a tight grey v neck shirt and blue jeans, he was just sitting on the bank, the blonde wolf ran over to him. "Hey Alice." Beta Ian smiled lovingly at the blonde wolf then glared at James who was growling at the wolf.
She must have been Beta Ian's mate, his true mate. "You better teach that boy of yours to watch how he speaks to other's mates. Better be glad he didn't say it to my Alpha's mate." Ian smirked and I was to busy staring at the sexy guy. The blonde wolf caught my eyes and started snarling and standing in front of Ian, he smirked. "I know I am sexy as hell, but you are upsetting my mate. I don't take well to things upsetting my mate." Beta Ian warned. I felt a sting across my cheek as James slapped me.
"Quick staring, we told you to leave now go!" James snarled and I picked up Anna and Nixi's scruff's in my mouth but stopped cold as Beta Ian's words hit me. "Why stay in that pack if they treat you like that? With the size of your wolf, you seem that you would be the next Luna, but no mate would ever lay their hand's on their mate." Ian spat. "Keep your opinions to yourself!" James snarled. I sighed and took off, he was right. Why did I satay with a pack that treats women like this? Maybe since all packs treated women the same.
