Chapter Two
I made it back to the pack house only to hear Alpha Todd being pissed as he cussed me out. “Just what the hell were you thinking?! Fighting is against the pack’s rules! I ought to have you locked up for treason!” Alpha Todd growled. “But I wasn’t fighting! I was giving them a chance to run sir.” I tried to explain but he slapped me and walked off.
“You dare take my little sister near the border?!” James snarled punching me in the face. My pack, females are below males, they are only meant to take care of pups unless a high ranked female I am just the Beta’s daughter but the title is passed up to my sister Angelica. “Alpha James, I didn’t I swear! I was out by the river and when I awoke they were there!” I pleaded as he landed another hit to my face.
“My sister would never disobey the rules!” James kicked my knees out from under me and I fell to the ground feeling a snap, my leg was out of the socket. “She, unlike you will be the perfect female, she can do her job. You will never be chosen to be someone’s mate, hell you will never even have a true mate you bitch!” James snarled and kicked me pretty hard in the ribs, I felt them break. “Brother! Stop!” Anna cried out.
“Go away Anna, go help mom in the kitchen!” He snarled before bending down and grabbing the collar of my shirt and getting in my face. “But James Alexandria hand nothing to do with us being there! Nixi and I disobeyed dad.” Anna defended me and James froze. He stared at me with wide eyes, he looked hurt and worried. “I am sorry.” He choked out before rushing off. I spit the blood that was from my busted lip and groaned rushing to my room. Tonight I would leave.
Alpha Blake’s POV
“Alpha Blake, the neighboring pack is getting out of hand.” My beta warned me as he entered my office. “What do you mean?” I asked glancing up from my paper work. “Well sir, in front of me and Alice, the Alpha slapped a female in the face.” Ian growled. “What?” I sneered. “Yes, and he was disrespectful period. He needs to be put in place, remind him who is in charge. I don’t care what it is, unless she is hurting your child, you should never lay your hand on a she-wolf. Mate or not.” Ian growled.
Ian had issues with men laying hands on females, and I understood why. His sister was abused by a boyfriend of hers and when he finally learned of it, it was too late. She died on the operating table from when he beat her to bad. “I agree, we need to have a meeting with them, just in the morning. Porsha is getting on my nerves.” I groaned. Porsha was my little sister who was 5, our parents died last year so I had to raise her with the help of some pack elders.
“What now?” Ian smirked leaning back in a chair. “She wants to go to see some Beaver?” I sighed, I was completely tired. “You mean Justin Bieber?” Ian chuckled. “I knew beaver sounded weird.” I muttered to myself. “He is a pop singer dude, all the girls love him, but thank god Alice doesn’t.” Ian chuckled and left the room and I finished up my work.
Alexandria’s POV
I slipped out of my window with my bag of what I will need, about four grand on my credit card, clothes, cell phone and charger and laptop and charger. Some of those things. I shifted and grabbed my bag and took off, I was leaving this dam pack even if I had to go to Red Blood Pack, the one that had Beta Ian remember?
I sprinted into the woods, must have spooked a wolf on patrol because I heard James’s voice in my head. “Everyone up now! A rouge was spotted heading east!” James snarled, dam I was the so called rouge. I made my legs go faster and I could start to hear the sound of the river up ahead and I was almost there!
“Alexandria! Just what the hell do you think you are doing!?” James snarled and tackled me, so close to freedom! “Alpha James, Please let me go!” I whined. “No! You cannot leave!” James shouted so loud that my head hurt, well hell we were using our pack link! I whimpered and something flashed in his eyes.
“Please, I promise to never bother this pack again!” I wanted to go so badly. I felt him lower himself on me and held me firmly to the ground. “You are mine.” James growled. “If I was, you would never have laid your hands on me as much as you have, you would have respected me!” I snarled and bit his leg and he jumped off and I kicked dirt in his face before making the lead that placed me in Red Blood Pack, the pack link gone.
“Alexandria!” James yelled out as he shifted, who was he kidding? I was never his nor will I ever be, he hurt me to many times to even think of it. I have my mate out here somewhere. “Behind you!” James warned and I turned just in time to be pinned down by the blonde wolf from earlier. I could hear James snarl and snap his jaws as he paced back and forth on the bank, not daring to cross the border. Just proving again that I wasn’t his.
I shifted under the she-wolf as she bared her teeth at me, but she didn’t growl. “I mean no harm, I just need help, please I am begging you. What was your name, oh yeah Alice! Please Alice, I need help, my ribs are healing wrong and I’m hurt.” I told her and showed her that I meant no harm, she looked confused.
Alice moved back and shifted and pulled on a t-shirt that was tied to her leg. “Who are you? Why can’t I be aggressive-Luna!” Alice smiled and hugged me but I whimpered in pain since she had touched my ribs and bruised cheek. “Luna? She is my Luna!” James snarled and Alice snarled right back. “Once Alpha finds out that you done this to her, he will kill you! Beta Ian already is planning your death you mutt!” Alice hissed and smiled looking into the shadows as the man, Beta Ian came forward in shorts.
“Luna, it is a great honor. We need to get you to the infirmary. And you mutt, you have signed your death certificate.” Beta Ian smirked; placed a gentle hand on my shoulder and pulled me through the woods.
