Zoe's P.O.V.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the plane will arrive in Los Angeles in 10 minutes. Please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position. Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened and all carry-on luggage is stowed underneath the seat in front of you or in the overhead bins. Thank you." A flight attendant said in the speakers.

I looked out from the window. I had left my home and London behind. It had gone almost a week since my mom died but it still felt like yesterday. The memories of me being at the hospital while she was in surgery and then got the news that they couldn't save her still haunted me. Ever since that I've been a mess and now I was moving to my uncle Joby in the US. My friends in London were really jealous of me because I'll live in Los Angeles where all the celebrities lives. Me on the other hand just wanted to stay in London. I had half a year left until I graduated and now I'd have to go the last semester in an American high school. I didn't wanted to leave my friends and being shy and anxious like I am meant that I wasn't very good at making new friends. I looked forward to see uncle Joby though. My mom Mary was the oldest sibling out of three. She had a five year younger sister named Lily and a nine year younger brother named Joby. My aunt Lily lives in Edinburgh with her skottish husband Craig and their two children.

The plane landed and I took my backpack on and walked off the plane. I followed the crowd to the luggage claim where I collected my suitcase. After I had found it I walked through the exit doors and arrived in the main hall where I looked around for uncle Joby.

"Zoe! Hi!" I heard someone say.

I turned around and there he was, my uncle Joby. I ran over to him and gave him a hug.

"Uncle Joby!" I said and smiled.

He hugged me back and then took my suitcase from me. I walked along with him out from the LAX airport.

"So how are you feeling?" He asked.

"Okay I guess..." I said.

"Well that's good, I hope you know that it's okay to grieve... We all are" He said.

"I know... I miss her so much" I said.

"I do too..." He said.

We put my suitcase in the trunk and got into Joby's car. He drove off and switched on the radio.

"I'm really happy that you're going to live with me now though. We couldn't see eachother as often when we lived in different countries with an ocean between us." He said.

"Me too, I've missed you loads..." I said.

"So before we can go home I have to get back to work as we were in the middle of something important" He said.

"Okay..." I said and nodded.

After about 20 minutes he stopped outside a building and I followed him inside. We took the elevator up a few levels and then we got out. Uncle Joby walked over to a door and opened it. I followed him inside and spotted three teenage boys who were quite good looking to be honest. It then hit me that I was wearing the most unflattering outfit. A pair of grey joggers, a simple white t-shirt with a burgundy pullover hoodie over and white low converse. I also have my hair up in a messy bun and no makeup on.

"I'm back boys, let's continue the meeting" Uncle Joby said.

"Sure" The three boys said.

"And oh by the way, boys this is my niece Zoe. And Zoe, this is Ricky, Liam and Emery also known as Forever In You Mind whom I'm manager for." Uncle Joby said and pointed at each one of them as he said their names.

"Hi..." I said shyly.

"Hey, nice to meet you" The three of them said.

I got eyecontact with the one named Ricky for a few seconds. He had the most beautiful green eyes I'd ever seen. The boys and uncle Joby then sat down and continued with their meeting. I sat down on a couch and listened the same sad music that I had been listen to ever since the accident with my headphones on.

About half an hour later I couldn't hear my own music anymore since the three teenage boys had started singing. I took of my headphones and looked over at them. They were singing a happy christmas song with the lyrics celebra-a-ate like it's christmas day. It was a catchy song and I usually loved christmas songs and all christmas related stuff but now I couldn't stand it. People being all happy and festive when I just lost my mom. I stood up from the couch.

"I'll go outside for a bit, I need some fresh air" I said to uncle Joby.

He nodded and I left the room. Out in the hallway outside I sat down on the floor and leaned back against the wall. I could feel tears running down my cheeks. Why did you have to leave me right now mom, it's christmas and I'm supposed to be festive and jolly.

"I miss you mom... please come back to me...." I said loudly to myself as I continued to cry.

A/N

So this is one of my new stories! It's about Ricky but also about an own character of mine called Zoe. As you all might have understood she's FIYM's manager Joby's niece. I'm trying to find someone to portray Zoe but I have no idea who I should put. So if you guys have any ideas of an actress, preferable british since Zoe's british but it doesn't have to be, around the age of 17-18 who could portray her then please let me know! I don't want any of the disney stars as they are themselves in this story so like some other actress.

Anyways hope you'll like this story! I'm so excited for this one actually. I have an amazing plot and it's set around christmas which is really cosy 😊
