Chapter 13 - The Date

Zoe's P.O.V.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a pair of black jeans with a gold metallic tank top with some strap details at the top. Together with that I was wearing my black ankle boots which had a thick heel and a choker. My hair was down in loose curls, my eyes where smokey gold and my lips where nude. I heard the door went off downstairs and quickly grabbed my crossbody bag and my suede biker jacket. As I ran down the stairs I was spotted Ricky standing in the door talking to uncle Joby. As he saw me a huge smile spread across his lips. I smiled back and walked down to them and stopped beside uncle Joby.

"Woah, you look gorgeous Zoe" Ricky said.

"Thanks, you look really handsome yourself" I said and blushed lightly.

"Thanks, are you ready to go?" He said and reached out his hand.

I nodded and took his hand.

"Remember to bring her home by 10 pm and take care of her well" Uncle Joby said in a fatherly way.

"I will, I promise I'll treat her like a princess " Ricky said and smirked.

"Good, have a great time kids" Uncle Joby said and smiled.

"Thanks, we will" Me and Ricky said in unison as we walked out.

I followed Ricky out to a car that stood outside the house. He opened the passenger seat door for me and I sat down. He then walked around and got into the driver's seat and drove off.

"Did you notice that Joby acted like a father?" He said.

"Yeah, He's actually the only father figure that I've ever had. During the phase in your life when you get attached to the parent of the other sex I didn't had anyone except him so. He's always been extra protective over me since my mom raised me alone. Although he was always there for his oldest sister and helped her with me. I remember once when I was 8 and I where sleeping over at his place because my mom had a night out with some friends. Uncle Joby was only 25 then and at the evening a girl came over whom he dated back then. When she first saw me she thought uncle Joby was my dad. I remember that I liked her and she played with me the whole evening." I said and smiled.

"I see and awwh that's so cute" he said.

We drove for about 30 minutes until we came to a restaurant called STK. Ricky parked the car and lead me into the restaurant. He told the waitor his name and we got a table. The restaurant where really fancy and the interior was amazing. Ricky told me that they had the best steaks in the world here so we both ended up ordering a steak with fries and bearnaise sauce. We ate the amazing food and talked about everything. I had such a nice time and many laughters where shared. After the date we decided to take a walk through the park that where nearby. We walked hand in hand through the dark.

"I've really enjoyed tonight Ricky... I wish I didn't had to leave you in less than an hour." I said.

"Me too and I know, I promised Joby to have you back at 10 pm though so I have to keep my promise. It's going to be so lonely though when you're gone because I have the house for myself until tomorrow afternoon." He said.

"Maybe I could call uncle Joby and ask him if I could stay over at your place?" I said.

"I guess it's worth a try" He said.

I took up my phone and called uncle Joby.

"Hi, it's Zoe... I was wondering if I could stay at Ricky's house tonight?... His mom is away and he felt lonely... you want to speak with Ricky? Yeah of course" I said and handed the phone to Ricky.

"Hi Joby!.... Yeah could she stay over?.... Of course there will be no funny business, you can trust me... okay great, bye" Ricky said and hung up.

"Did he seriously think there'd be any funny business?" I said and raised my eyebrow.

"Yup, probably his inner overprotective father coming out though but good news, you're coming with me home!" He said and smiled widely.

"Yeah probably and yay!" I said and laughed as I hugged him.

He hugged me back and as we pulled away I looked up and into his beautiful green eyes. I felt my heart beat fast and he looked down at me and his eyes met mine. In that moment everything was perfect and suddenly my shyness was all gone. I got up on my tip toes, since the heigh difference between us is quite a lot, and crashed my lips onto his. I felt him kiss me back and pulling me closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and closed my eyes. The kiss was sweet but passionated and lasted for atleast a few minutes. When we finally pulled away I opened my eyes to meet his again.

"I love you Zoe" Ricky said as he took my hands in his.

"I love you too Ricky" I said and smiled widely.

We then walked back to the car and drove home to Ricky. As soon as we got inside I wanted to change into something more comfortable so I got to borrow a T-shirt from Ricky. It was a grey Star Wars one with the text Boba Fett which I recognized from a Youtube video that I had seen. It was him, Landry and Gus doing a who's most likely to on Gus ex girlfriend Charlene's youtube channel. I changed into his t-shirt and since I am really short it went just past my bum so I wore only the shirt for the rest of the night. Ricky also changed into some sweatpants and when he was about to put on a t-shirt I stopped him and said that I wanted him to be shirtless. He laughed at me and called me cheeky but listened and threw away the shirt. The rest of the evening we watched a movie and cuddled in his bed until I fell asleep inside of his arms. That night I dreamt about us and the date which easily is the best date I've ever been on.
