I open my eyes to a horrific sight . The room turned cold, frozen. I release the breath I’d been holding in, watching a cloud form. How cold is it in here? I turn to see a crowd of people hovering over something, an unknown figure from a distance. I walk closer trying to get a clearer view. A few people moved out of the way. My hands immediately went to my mouth when I realised who it was.
“Jasmin”, I whispered glaring at my hands. This was all my fault…
“She’s gone,” I could tell James was on the brink of tears, “You’ve frozen her. Se’s dead”
“I’m sorry…. I didn’t know this was possible,” I said barley above a whisper. “I can’t control it.”
“How could you kill my sister!!,” James yelled at me, I jolt in surprise. I’ve never seen him like this.
“I spoke to her and she began to leave you alone, and you kill her! Are you happy now?”
“Sister or not I would never dream of doing anything like this to anyone. I promise you it wasn’t my fault.”
Tears threaten to fall from my eyes but I blink them away.
“That’s what you want me to think but really we both know that if you’d known that I was her brother you’d of froze me too!”
“No! I wouldn’t…look there might be a way-”
“JUST SHUT UP! YOU KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! Y-YOU MONSTER!
I felt my heart break into a million pieces. My tears finally breaking through. I look at him. Thinking he’d be the man I would love until I die. Now I realise he wasn’t the one. I felt aggression, anger and depression mixed inside me. I looked down at my feet, tears blurred my vision. I clenched and un-clenched my fists, letting my tears fall. I don’t care who could see my tears, they needed to flow. My hands started to get cold and I knew it was going to happen again. I released the tension in my fists and my anger slowly faded away too.
”Every evacuate, who knows what she might do“, James said with anger still laced in his voice. I watched everyone leave, each one of them looked at me in fear or anger. Some of them even called me a monster. Then it was silent. Why….why me. I didn’t do anything wrong. Staring down at my feet, I notice small green sparks. Little blurs form my tears, I quickly wipe my face and look up. To my shock there were more sparks. Slowly emerging into green smoke. Through the smoke a man appears.
”Who are you?!?!“ I ask cautiously taking a couple steps back behind the teachers desk.
Looking at him properly, he had a caramel tone to his skin, shoulder length black hair combed over nicely, and to top it all off, hipster clothes. By the way he looked, I was guessing around maybe mid 20’s.
”There’s no time we have to go now!,“ he said taking a step toward me. ”You’re in danger!,“ he replies nervous glancing around the room,”I come from Ablivia I’ll explain everything just come with me.“
”ARE YOU SERIOUS? ABLIVIA? MY MOM WAS RIGHT… My mom was right!“
He raises his hand as to shut me up. I allow him to continue…
”As I said I’ll explain everything, are coming with me?,“ He questions.
I think this over, I practically know nothing about this man and he claims to be from Ablivia. The words slip from my mouth;
”Yes, but we’re stopping by my house first.“ He doesn’t reply instead he grabs my arm and touches the crystal from around his neck. I watch in fascination as a gust of smoke surrounds us and then the smoke slowly disappeared. My livingroom slowing forming before my eyes.
