*Aris's POV*

"Braydon?" I gasped in shock as I stood in front of my elementary through high school enemy.

You have got to be joking.

I took a few steps back but remained in the midst of the doorway. Even his presence caused me to grow both angry and stressed. He was wearing a black hoodie that had some heavy metal band on it along with a pair of ripped jeans. Besides his odd outfit, Braydon appeared to be identical the person I have known all through my life. It had only been a few months since high school ended, yet I was positive I would never encounter this guy ever again. Clearly, I was wrong.

"Aris?" He gaped, as he sized me up completely, "no fucking way!" He laughed as he practically dropped his bags on the floor. People walking past the room looked at us suspiciously, but they continued to walk away.

Shit. He was the only person besides Jameson who knew I had kids, which made my situation ten times worse. I clenched my teeth and stepped back from the doorway, letting him enter the dorm. Braydon strolled inside slowly, examining the bland room; his gaze slowly falling down to where is side of the room was. I quickly raced over to where the pictures of Cameron and Rose where and I immediately blocked them from his view.

"Damn, Aris you really decked out your side of the room," He chuckled, his laugh vibrating across his chest as he looked over at me, "got any jewels to go with it all, or some fancy princess decals?"

I considered dismissing his last comment but I laughed, "I did, but I forgot that you shoved them up your greedy ignorant ass."

Braydon's smile faded when he remembered he was going to be stuck in a dorm room with me for four whole years. He hesitantly placed his bags on his bed and walked over to the window to examine the view.

"What are the odds of this happening?" I muttered to myself as I rubbed my temples spontaneously as I thought about how worse the day could get.

I decided to write a letter to Mikayla, Cameron, and Rose since there was nothing better I could do besides watch Braydon unpack is bags. Trust me, sending a text was an easier option, but receiving a letter in the mail has always been slightly more exciting. Plus, I know Cameron would be ecstatic to see his name written on an envelope. I sighed before grabbing a pen as I glanced over at Braydon.

     Dear Mikayla, Cam, and Rose,

When I first arrived here with my mom, I was filled with much exuberance to have a complete new start in my life here at Ohio State. Disappointingly, I was wrong with that. When I heard the second knock on my door of the day, I knew this was it. The final moment of truth, haha, but when I opened that door, you'll never guess who I saw standing there. Braydon McCabe was standing right in front of me. Wait, you remember Braydon, right? He would always come up to us and laugh at the fact that we were a couple. Plus, he had always bullied me throughout elementary school as well but anyway, we both hate each other. So, once we noticed each other, our lives basically shattered in front of our eyes like a broken mirror. Hopefully, I can manage to do well in school and maintain good grades so I can get the hell outta here. Love all three of you and I miss you all so, so much.

Lots of Love,
Aris (Daddy)

"What are you workin' on, Dickens?" Braydon inquired with a hearty laugh as he slapped my back playfully.
