Chapter 1: Eden
It all used to be set in stone. Everything clear how it was gonna happen... And now? Everything has changed. I married a Wolf two years ago. We had been told that we had to fulfill this magical prophecy. We did, we got rid of all the Wolves. Our, well, solution, wasn't the best. It's... Just so complicated. I don't have a written play-by-play telling me what's supposed to happen.
I wish I had that book, to tell me what to do now.

"Eden!"
I jumped up and sighed. "Yeah?"
River slammed the front door. "They..." He ran to me, his face buried in my shoulder. "It's finally happened!"
I could feel his tears soaking my shirt. "They're gone?" He backed up a bit and nodded. "Seriously?"
He kissed me. "Yes, Dad said he got them all to sign it... It's over." A wave of sadness overcame me. Tears flowed from my eyes as River kissed me. He noticed and wiped away the tears, bending down so he could see my face. "What's wrong?"
I broke, the tears becoming more like waterfalls. "What's wrong? I lost my best friend, a guy that was like my brother, all for nothing! I lost my mother..." I swallowed. "And even... My dad, he's gone too."
River pulled me against his chest. "I know, baby, shh, I know."
I sobbed against him, but a knock at the door, stopped me. "I'll be back." I wiped away my tears and stepped forward, taking a gun from my waist. River took the gun from my hands as I opened the door and laughed as I saw it was my brother, Drexel. "Hey," I said lamely.
He saw the pink tear tracks on my cheeks. "River, what did you do-"
"Drex, it wasn't him, I was just thinking about Jen- and Ar-"
I erupted into tears as River hugged me again and muttered, "Not the time," to Drexel.
I heard the door open and then shut right after. River kissed the top of my head and pulled back to see my face. "Look, if they hadn't gone, everything would have been different, right? We wouldn't have gotten married, or any of it."
Speaking of which. "Riv...?"
"Yes?"
But suddenly, I lost all my courage. Don't back out now! "I need to tell you something..."
He grinned. "Yeah?"
"Can you stop smiling like that?" I growled, putting my hands in my hair and sighing. "It's really unnerving, you know."
Another grin. "Okay, anyways... What were you gonna tell me?"
"I'm- I... I'm pregnant!" I finally blurted and he sighed.
"Now, was that so hard?"
I gasped. "What?"
"I knew something was up. For the past like two months, you have tiptoed around me, as if you're trying not to say the wrong thing. At first it was rather amusing, you avoiding kissing me even. And then it got annoying. You made me sleep on the couch for two weeks. Two weeks."
"Abbi told me you visited her a few weeks back and she congratulated me. Which was when it all started to make sense."
I glared at him. "And you still are gonna sleep on the couch."
River frowned. "What did I do now?" he whined.
I refused to answer him and stormed into our room, shutting and locking the door. I knew it wouldn't hold him for long, well, that and he was on the side with the food and the water, unless you count the bathroom (which I didn't).
