annie's pov;
first day of high school, here i come.
no more homeschooling program, no more long days sitting at my computer. only new friends and new cute guys.
katie pulls up to my house in her new car she got for her birthday.
ugh, i wish that was me; i thought to myself.
katie's pov;
"hey ans! you ready for your first day of high school?!"
"yeah sure, i guess. i'm kinda nervous. she says as she walks towards my car.
"it'll be great, hop in!"
"bye mom, bye dad, bye hayley!!!!" annie yells.
"bye girls!! have fun!!" billy and katie shout to us.
"thank you!" we say.
then we drive away and head to school.
annie's pov;
"your car is really nice katie. i'm jealous."
"don't be, next year you'll be driving too." she says.
"i wish i was a junior like you, i heard being a sophomore sucks."
"yeah it does suck. but i promise, it'll get better... eventually." she says laughing.
"wow that really helps kate, thanks." i say as we laugh.
annie's pov;
we finally get to the school and, wow. it's huge! it's so different finally coming to a real school.
last time i was in a public school was like 7 years ago. it's crazy.
"oh yeah annie i hope you don't mind, but brennan is going to bring you home today. i have to drive to my nana's house for her birthday. i promised i would go right after school."
"uhhh.. yeah, i guess that's fine.." i said nervously
"c'mon annie get over it! you guys had a thing when you were like 10. it's not even like you like him or anything... plus, you guys friends, right?" she asked.
"yeah... right." i said.
