Marshall's POV

Today was the day I left to meet my 'wife' I hated losing Fiona, I was having a ball thrown for me leaving, Fiona was invited, I hope she goes. I miss her smile.

I got dressed in the same thing I wore that night but I wore a deep red tie.

I looked in the mirror and smirked.

I headed out since it was an early ball due to leaving soon

I walked inside to see a lot of people

"Ah hello Marshall!" Gumball said

"Hey gummy thanks for this"

"Anything for my friend"

"Is Fiona here?"

His grin disappeared

"Not yet but she said she would come"

"Oh okay, thanks though"

He smiled and left

"Hey Marshall heard about you and Fi"

Flame prince.

"Yes, we broke up sadly."

He put his hand on my shoulder

I flinched

"Don't worry I have an amulet burned into my chest, I'm practically human except the hair"

Human? Whoa.

I smiled and he walked off. I looked around for Fiona, she walked in, in a blue dress that was open at the side of her leg, her hair was down and in curls she perfected her makeup. cake walked in with a satin blue bow and LM by her side, Fiona looked beautiful and I felt my heart break again.

"Hey Fiona, you look great"

She looked up at me

"Hey marsh. Thanks you too"

With that she walked to flame prince

Hugging him. I felt even more broken.

Then slow music came on and I flew down to her side

"One last dance"

I held out my hand

"Sure"

She took it, and stepped on my feet as I flew up

"Good little girl

Always picking a fight with me"

"Bad little boy

That's what your acting like"

I smiled and she smiled back, it was fake I could see in her eyes,

'I'm broken' I saw it and felt guilt.

I put her down and hugged her one last time taking in her amazing scent

"Goodbye Fiona, I'll come back one day"

"Have fun getting married Marshall"

And with that she walked off, I opened my portal to the nightoshphere and walked in broken.

"Marshall!"

"Hey mom"

"Come come meet your new wife"

"Sup?"

"Hey"

"Names Marceline, you must be Marshall"

She had long black hair that cascaded down her back and she was thin, tall and slender, 2 fangs popped out of her mouth and she grinned at me

"You're kinda cute"

I just stared she was, beautiful

"You are too"

She smiled at me I smiled back, this won't be so bad after all.

Fiona's POV

I walked home. flame prince caught up with me

"Hey, you okay?"

I broke down and cried

"I'm not o-okay h-he broke my h-heart"

"Fiona I'm going to take you on an adventure tomorrow to take your mind off of things okay?"

"O-Okay"

He walked me home, now that he was mostly human I could hug him without getting burnt, he kissed the top of my head and I smiled at him, guess I can move on, it should be easy
