We sat there hand in hand watching the last bit of the horror film I insisted we watch. I looked at her after all the times i see her i still cant believe we are engaged. So engrossed inmy thoughts i didnt realize the credits were rolling.

"Amaruq the movie is over i'm ready to go home." Annalee said smiling at me as she pulled me to my feet. By the time we got out to the parking lot it was dark and most of the cars had already left. I pulled Annalee into and closed my mouth on hers. I smiled as she gasped. Annalee pulled away a small smile playing across her face.

"Not now Amaruq." She said turning to the face the car. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her against me. I heard her chuckling as i bent and kissed her neck. I felt her tense against me and push against me. "Annalee whats wrong?" I asked worried i offened her.

"Look." Was all she said as i looked up to see red dots in the shadows moving closer to us. I pulled Annalee behind me as the object moved closer. A man appeared, he looked like any other person would except for the red eyes. He smiled as he laid his eyes upon us. I felt Annalee trembling behind me.

"I love the scene before me. The boyfriend thinks he can protect the girl all the while shes scared." The man spoke his english was laced with an accent i could not place.

"What are you?!?" Annalee asked but i could see she already knew just as i did.

" Tark!" I said holding Annalee.

"Darkness...i haven't been called that in a while." He said looking at me holding my gaze as he smiled wider. " Tell me what tribe are you two from." Annalee gasped as he askked the question.

" I am from the Catawba tribe." Annalee said stepping forward her showing her pride for her heritage. His eyes locked on her as he licked his lips.

"I am from the Inuit people." I said as his eyes traveled over to lock on me.

"Hmmm i surely have stumbled upon my greatest discovery. I'll let you both live...." He paused looking at us. Annalee sighed as she heard this." On one condition though. I will be married to your first born girl." Annalee tensed.

"Never will you have my child!" Annalee said placing a hand on her stomach.

"Then you shall die along with your unborn child and your male." The tark continued upon us as we stepped back.

"Wait we will do it please just dont harm them." I said pulling Annalee against me.

"I'm glad you changed your mind. At the age of 17 i will come to get her." He said as he walked off into the shadows.
