There once was a girl going forward every day,
And the first object she saw, became a part of her,
And that object was the beginning of many more.

The palm trees swaying to the sound of the wind,
And the soft feel of the sand on her tiny little feet,
And the fifth-month of the heat shining while she plays in the sun,

The late darkness creeping on her
while her parents calm her down,
And the hard feel of the pavement as she runs,
And the feel of the open air on her bare bottom,
all of this became a part of her.

The new shine that bought joy and sorrow to her parents,
And the places she went to see that smile,
And the bell ringing signaling the last day,
that allowed her freedom from learning,
And before you know it— it's over.

The parents that were there for her when she cried disappeared,
And she was consumed by the emotionless void,
which ate her up inside and out,
And she decided to end it all.

The beeping never stopped inside those white walls,
And the blood coming out of her to be tested,
signaling a new beginning of purity,
And the cleansing of her soul,
allowed her to never endure the pain again.

The hardships she still faces till this very day;
however, she can handle them,
And her demons never drowned her,
they helped her swim.

People, friends, anyone go through her life;
however, the ones staying showed her life is worth the wait,
And the ones that left were never really there.

The Stronger and stronger she gets,
these obstacles get easier,
And the maternal love to the paternal love,
And the friends to her best friends,
And herself,
are the people who helped shape her,
to become who she was, is and will be,
And the journey that just began will lead her through a indelible life.
