IMAGINE...

You have just finished a ROUGH week at school.  You just took your hardest final and you aren't feeling the most confident.  You're tired, frustrated, and ready for the semester to be over.  To blow off some steam and get out of your dorm for an hour or two, you head to a little restaurant across the street from campus.

You walk in and sigh.  There's some booths to the left filled with friends laughing and chatting.  You decide the almost empty bar is better for a day like today.  You sit down next to a stranger.  He asks the bartender for another cream soda.  You notice he sounds pretty depressed through that British accent of his.  The bartender apologized, "Sorry bud, that was the last of our cream soda.  We get another shipment tomorrow but it's rare to have a fella order one, let alone the 5 you ordered."

"Wow...that's a lot of cream soda..." you mumble to the stranger stifling a laugh.

He looks up at you, not having noticed your arrival up to this point, and says with a slight smile, "Well, it's the closest I could find to butterbeer on this street and American beer is simply rubbish, so," he looks at the empty glass in his hand and lets his words trail off.   Why did that smile look so familiar?  You decide to shake it off.

"Butterbeer," you question.  "Like, the drink in Harry Potter...?"

"Yeah...I guess that sounds pretty bizarre coming from a 34 year old man, huh?"

"No, I actually love Harry Potter.  Butterbeer too, actually."

"You like Harry Potter?"  After you nod he adds, "do you know me, by any chance?"

"I don't think so..." you laugh nervously.  He looks at you mischievously.  Almost like a puppy getting ready for tug-of-war.

"Eddie," he simply states while reaching out to shake your hand.

Throughout the night you guys talk, and he makes you laugh...a lot.  Every time you throw your head back in laughter, you see his eyes sparkle a little bit brighter and his smile grow a little wider.  As the two of you chat the night away, you start to feel yourself turn a little red.  Is he flirting with you?  Are you...flirting back?

You think maybe you shouldn't.  But you can't seem to keep from smiling when you notice your 2 hour break had turned into 3...then to 4.  You just keep getting lost in his youthful charm.

Sometime later you finally decide it's time to wrap up this amazing encounter.  The poor staff has been cleaning up for an hour, and you two are the only 2 costumers left.  You stand up to gather your things as you tell this beautiful stranger, "I'm really sorry, but I really must leave."

He glances at his watch before frantically apoligizing, "Oh golly, look at the time!  I should be the one apologizing.  Surely a lady like you has places to be."  You start to defend him but he interrupts in a silky, mesmerizing tone, "It really has been...SUCH a pleasure to get to talk to you, Y/N.  I would be honored to know this wasn't our last encounter.  Would you mind exchanging numbers," he says as he whips out a slightly outdated cell phone.

"Of course not."  You take his phone while handing him yours and begin entering your number.  You hand him back his phone and with a nod of his head, he heads out of the restaurant and down the street.  You stand there for a minute, taking in the events of the night.

Finally, you glance down at your phone, and your mouth drops open as you read the name of your new contact: Eddie Redmayne.
