Now before I start, this will be slightly different because it will actually be from Eddie's side (not quite his point of view, but more like a third person limited point of view in which the view is limited to Eddie's thoughts/feelings/etc).
It's a Tuesday morning, Eddie has his copy of the daily paper, and he's waiting to get on the tram to head to his agent's office and get ready for the day's tasks. He begins whistling along to a performers song heard in the distance. That's when he hears a tranquil, soft-spoken American accent coming from a few yards back. "Can you tell me when the train headed to UCL is scheduled to arrive? I can't quite figure it out on the sched..." He yearns to see where that mesmerizing voice is coming from. He turns his head to look over his shoulder to see you asking a Londoner about the Underground. All of a sudden his palms get sweaty. He slowly turns to get a better look at you, a beautiful stranger to him.
He can tell that you're new to the city, and judging by the time of year he assumes you must be an international student. Classes are starting this week at many of the universities, and the city was more crowded than ever.
Then you remember where she had said she was going--UCL. She'll need to take the same tram...Eddie begins getting butterflies in his stomach and can feel himself starting to blush. Then the tram pulls up and he slowly makes his way in. A few seconds after sitting, he sees you enter and sit across from you to the left a ways down. He decides instead of working up the courage to talk to you, he'll just read his paper. But as the tram takes off, his eyes can't help but wander and he can't resist the urge to look at you. You sit there with your headphones in while reading a book he can't see the cover of, though it's obvious you have read it several times already.
This continues each morning for a few weeks. Each day, he sits more and more to his left, until one Friday, he's practically in front of you. He still trembles every time he even thinks about how to approach you. He just feels so nervous. What if you already have a significant other? Will him trying to talk to you just come off as a friendly? What if you think he's some creep? He is a bit older than you. That's when he sees it. The cover of your book. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay.
Well, if that's the book you've been reading over and over for the past few weeks, then that means he's practically obligated to approach you. He takes a deep breath in, stands up, straightens his clothes and walks up to you confidently. You raise your head, removing the earbuds from your ears, and your eyes meet his. All of a sudden all of that confidence left him, and he stared back speechless at your gorgeous eyes. He tries to push out words and can't seem to remember the right ones. So with a sigh, he slumps down next to you and lets out a weak and nervous, "Hi."
"Hi..." you answer back almost like it's a question.
"I'm Eddie." He reaches his trembling hand out to you.
As you return the handshake you mumble, "Y/N...and I know." Your eyes are wide and he smiles hoping it will make things better. When he sees your cheeks turn a little red, he takes it as a good sign.
"So...you like the book then I se--"
"Yeah, it's fantastic," you cut him off and then laugh at your accidental pun. When he hears your laugh he can't help but join in. For a moment the two of you just grin from ear to ear while looking at each other in amazement. He thinks to himself, "I've got a good feeling about this girl."
