~Haru's PoV~

Haruka sat in his tub, thinking about the rough day he had. His grades had started slipping due to his "work", and his mother was starting to get on his tail about it. She was demanding he stay home, and much to his surprise, his father agreed. His father told him if his grades were slipping, then he had no business being a hero.

"School before saving!" his father would always tell him.

Haruka huffed at the thought. He was probably the only hero in the world who could be grounded from saving the world, just because his grades had been slipping. And by the only hero who's powers are all aquatic! Haru had no doubt in his mind that his father,  Aquaman, probably never finished school, so why should it matter if he did?

There was a soft knock on the door. Haru came up from laying under the water.

"Haru, are you alright in there? You've been in there for a while..." Haru's mother's soft voice asked through the door.

"I'm fine." Haru said, starting to stand up, about to get out of the tub. He grabbed a towel and draped it over his head, drying his hair. He stepped out of the tub, onto the white tiled bathroom floor, before looking at his reflection in the mirror. His black hair stuck to his face, and his deep blue eyes stared back at him from the mirror. He sighed, before wrapping the towel around his shoulders like a small child would with a blanket.

He opened the door to find his mother standing outside of it, looking ready to knock again. She paused, looking her son up and down before sighing as she noticed his swim suit. "You bathed in it again....?" she asked. "It's a wonder I ever get to clean the thing..." she mumbled.

"I have others...." Haru answered, before heading to his room down the hall.

"Don't walk around the house soaking wet! You'll ruin my carpets!" his mother nagged.

Haru closed his bedroom door behind him, and started to dry off before getting dressed. He had school in a couple hours, and he still hadn't eaten or done his chores. He had only gotten up extra early so he could sit in the bath and have some time to himself. Haru finished getting dressed and headed to the kitchen.

"What would you like for breakfast Haru?" his mother asked.

"Mackerel." Haru said, sitting at the table.

".....of course you do..." his mother muttered. "But you know how your father feels about you having mackerel...."

"I'm well aware of what dad thinks. And I don't care." Haru straightened his tie.

"You know what he always says-"Fish are friends."" the two said the phrase in unison.

"Yeah, I know. He doesn't seem to realize big fish eat littler fish. It's the ecosystem of the ocean. Not to mention....I'm not a fish. I'm human." Haru explained as his mother set fried mackerel in front of him.

"He's a stubborn man." his mother agreed.

Haru nodded as he ate. His mother sat next to him, eating a bowl of cereal. The two sat in silence as they ate. Haru only looked up when he heard the door open. His father was home, and by some of the huffing he was doing, it seemed he was beat from a long day of work. Haru's mother went up to him and kissed him on the cheek. Aquaman returned the affections by holding her tight.

"You have no idea how long I just wanted to come home and hold you...." Aquaman mumbled, resting his cheek against his wife's hair.

Deciding this was a good time to leave, Haru rose from his seat, and took his plate over to the sink, gently putting it in the sink. He passed his parents and grabbed his bag from off the hook by the door, and headed off to school, which was only a block away. Along the way, his best friend Makoto caught up with him. The brunette started talking, but Haru's mind wasn't all there. He stared at the ocean as he walked with his friend, hoping that soon, he'd be one with the ocean and all it's creatures again.

~Sosuke's PoV~

"SOSUKE!!" Wayne called his son from the kitchen.

Sosuke was just finishing getting dressed. He was adjusting his tie as he looked in the mirror, and took a quick look at his hair. Usually his mother would yell at him to slick it back like his father, but he never did. Sosuke slipped on his shoes and headed downstairs to the kitchen. He went downstairs to find his parents at the dining table eating. His mother was eating a standard bowl of cereal with a glass of orange juice. His father was eating toast and having a cup of coffee. His adopted brother, Dick Grayson, sat next to his mother, having toast like his father.

"Ha, you're late to breakfast, now you have to take it with you." Dick laughed at Sosuke. Sosuke merely blinked at him.

"Richard." Wayne glared at his adopted son. Dick went quiet and  put his head down in a bit of shame.

"Sorry Bruce...." he muttered.

"Master Dick, Master Sosuke, the limo is up front waiting for the both of you." said a voice behind Sosuke. He and Dick both turned around to see Alfred, the Wayne's loyal butler. He was an old man, with a balding head, gray stubble along his chin, and bright green eyes that the boys both swore could easily look through anyone. Alfred was always a gentle soul however, giving guidance when needed, and a firm glare if either of the boys-more typically Dick-ever got out of hand. He also kept Bruce out of certain trouble as well, though everyone knew Bruce attracted trouble like a magnet.

"I'm not taking the limo today, Alfred, but thanks anyway." Dick said, getting up from his seat. "I'm going to take my bike. I'd like to stay at least a little inconspicuous." he pushed his chair in and left the room.

Bruce sighed before drinking his coffee. His wife looked at him with a raised brow. "Are we sure he isn't your biological son? Because he sure has your snarkiness." she asked.

"Hey now, I'm not that bad!" Bruce scoffed.

"Mhm." his wife hummed in a sarcastic tone, her teal eyes like Sosuke's burning right through him.

Sosuke was already out of the room without a word as his parents bickered. He was planning on walking to school, rather than ride in a limo or drive. The school wasn't too far away, and he figured he could use the exercise. It was also a good chance to clear his mind. He'd had a lot going on lately, with his mother being gone so often on business trips, taking on the role of being his father's partner in crime (literally), dealing with Dick constantly trying to cause a fight with him, the latest crimes to keep up with, plus school, and keeping his identity as a Wayne a secret.

Sosuke had decided he didn't want to be treated any differently as a person just because he was Bruce Wayne's son, unlike Dick, who flaunted it, so he had taken on his mother's maiden name, Yamazaki, as his own while in school. The only people who knew he was a Wayne were his very few close friends, and the school principal. As far as anyone else around him new, he was just another kid in high school, trying to make his parents proud. But his friends knew the truth, but that was alright by him, because he knew the truth about them as well.
