Chapter 4

We finally got to the Baxter Building and there were people everywhere, Photographers, TV crews but mostly people with posters. We got out of the car with Johnny coming out last and the screams erupted, Stay away girls, Johnny is mine I thought. WOAH WOAH Calm down Charlie Brown, Stop it Ariana You can't fall for him. Cameras were flashing everywhere, We walked into the Baxter Building and we were greeted by Jimmy the Doorman "Welcome back to the Baxter, Dr. Richards. All that for you?" He asked

"I'm afraid so" Reed said while shrugging his shoulders. I walked past Jimmy and said

"Hey Jimmy"

"Hello Ms. Grimm, How are you today?" asked Jimmy

"I'm good thank you" I said smiling at him

"Jimmy, Good to see you again" I heard Sue say to Jimmy and Jimmy replied

"Good to see you too" and we walked to the elevator, While we were at the elevator, Willy the Mailman came up to Reed

"Welcome back Dr. Richards, here is your usual" Willy said and gave Reed large pile of letters "It's good to have you back sir" Willy said and left

"Thanks Willy" Reed said and looked through the pile of letter they all were from the Bank "We had a tough year"

"Yeah, nine years straight" said Ben and the Elevator doors opened. We all got into the elevator and the doors closed but the lift didn't move

"We're either moving really fast or not at all" Johnny stated. I rolled my eyes at him. The lift chimed and a message came up saying the 'exceed maximum weight'. We all looked at Ben knowing it was him.

"I'll take the stairs" He said as the doors opened, I gave him a reassuring smile before he left and the doors closed.

"How come he can't turn it on and off like we can?" I asked Reed

"That's what we're here to find out" Reed answered

"What if we can't turn it off either?" Johnny said. Now that got me worried. "That would save time, ha" He chuckled to himself.

"You don't really wanna walk around on fire for the rest of your life. do you?" Sue challenged

"Is that trick question?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Grow up" I scoffed

"Come on. Am I the only one that thinks this is cool?" Johnny added before the lift dinged and we walked into Reed's 'laboratory/home'.

"We should stay here until we can define the extent of our changes...figure out how to reverse them." Reed said

"Woah" Johnny said

"but I have to warn you it's gonna be a little crowded in some areas."

"Ha" Johnny chuckled

"So what do you think?" Reed asked

"I don't know Reed, I think you might be bring your work home with you"

"Ha come on, Riana, you show Johnny to your room and i'll show Sue to her room"

"Ok, come this way Johnny" I said gesturing to Johnny to follow me, 

Busy guy" Johnny whispered to Sue and left with me. I lead him to his room and he looked quite happy with it.

"You will be staying here for as long as Reed needs to figure this whole thing out, and I'm just down the hall if you need anything" I smiled at him before I turned to walk away but Johnny stopped me. 

"Ri do you ever think about us?" He asked

"What do you mean? there never was an 'us'" I replied back with quotation marks on the 'us'
