The night was silent. A peaceful breeze blew through the trees while the moon shone brightly on the forest below. Then, almost as if on cue, a startled bird lets out a frightened screech. The dark woods are no longer silent, and the shouting of men could be heard.
"Find him!"
"Where did he go?!"
"This is hopeless!"
He snickered from a nearby tree. "One, two, three... oh no wait. There's two more over there." The male figure goes to adjust his position and accidentally snaps a twig in the process.
"Shh! Did you hear that?"
"I'm scared"
"Oh shut up!"
"Great." He says sarcastically and climbs higher up into the old oak.
"I want him found" a strong male voice speaks above the rest. "We cannot let him get away!"
The male climbs higher until he grabs a dead branch by mistake. "No!" He yells as he falls to the ground.
"Over there!"
He hits the ground with a sickening thump. "Ow. That hurt." He looks up to see feet, so many feet. "Well, hello gentlemen." Winces as he tries to stand up.
"That's enough talk!" The taller man says before forcefully kicking the fallen man in the face, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.
"Uh, sir? What should we do with him?" One of the men ask hesitantly.
"Leave him for the wolves." The leader says before spitting on the ground.

AN: Very short chapter. I know. I may make it longer in the future. Who knows? Tell me what you think so far.
