"We were knocked out as fast as it happened." Spike propped his head with a hand. "We don't know if someone came before you guys got there."

"But it feels like someone did." Jave held his head. "I just can't remember well." He noticed his little dragon flying around him again. "What's wrong, Red?"

The group watched Red fly around before landing on the table. It started to move its head strangely as if trying to gag. Eileene and Rachel grabbed the bottles and food out of the way before the dragon threw up on the table. Disgust was evident on their faces, only that Jave was concerned with the trash that came with Red's saliva: there were pieces of junk and a peculiar stone.

Rudy got up to fetch something to stop the liquid from spilling all over the table, while Kris picked up the stone as Jave attended to the poor thing. The Knight got back and had help from Eileene as they cleaned up the mess Red made. Kris cleaned the stone with the table cloth, only to notice the carvings in it.

"Sorry about that. I didn't know Red was eating the bottle caps." Jave chuckled as he consoled the sick dragon. He noticed what Kris was holding. "What's that, Kris?"

"Words are engraved in it." He frowned at the stone, passing it to Spike who held his hand out. "Words I can't read."

Spike and Jave stared at it before the axman hummed. "It's written in a language only the monsters can read. I can't make out most of it; I'm not fluent in that." He returned it to Kris. "We should find someone who can."

Red started nudging Jave's belly as if asking for his attention. It then started dancing a little. What riddled the five other Seven Knights was that Jave seemed to understand what it was trying to say.

"What? It came from a winged woman?" Jave petted Red to sit him down his lap again. "Red said a woman with wings shoved it down his throat! Why would someone shove a stone down a dragon's throat!?"

Rachel stared at him in disbelief, while Eileene laughed out at the realization. Jave found their reactions confusing- since Spike cracked up a little as well. Kris seemed to console his growing headache at the same time Rudy took the stone.

The brunet stared at it. "Something Sarah would do. But why would she write in a language we can't understand?"

"Let's just get someone who can decipher that." The noble sighed.

"Sarah?" Rachel glared at them, more likely at Kris. She turned to Eileene when she heard the empress chuckle.

"She's a succubus who always comes around Kris." Rudy explained, watching the blonde noble almost tear her head off as she turned to him. "She" -he paused to contain a laughter- "she asked Kris to find the Core for them. However, it is still in our discretion whether to hand it over the demons or not. Don't worry about her, Rachel."

Rachel twitched. "I wasn't worried. It would just be complicated to explain."

"Nevermind Sarah." Kris tried to stop the conversation from heading somewhere else.

"Oh, your future husband has a woman already!"

"He has a man, too." "They're not like that- and what?" "We're talking about important things here." "Rachel and Kris are getting married!?" "Too many things are going on."

After speaking altogether and failing to make out what everyone said, the six of the Seven Knights ended up chuckling for a while.

Eileene took a hold of her glass and raised it again. "I don't know what to say, but we should drink first before getting anything done!"

"Yeah!" Unlike earlier, everyone else readily raised their glasses for a toast.

The moon was almost back to hiding as the dawn came. The Seven Knights- Dellons excluded- were still stuck in the roof deck of the beer house somewhere in the commercial district of Kingdom Terra. Eileene's seat was scooted next to Rachel's, and the two females were leaning against each other as they slept through after a night of moderate drinking. Jave was leaning against his chair, head pulled back with his dragon clinging on his upper body. Rudy had his face slumped on the table, arms hanging and almost touching the floor.

Kris and Spike were at a different spot; both of them were at the cemented railing. Kris was merely leaning on it, while Spike was leaning against a pillar, seated on the railing. The axman was holding the stone with only his fingers, eyes on the blond. The noble was not looking at him, but Spike knew he would listen.

"What are you planning to do now?" He looked at the stone. "Whoever left this could be setting a trap. Could be your succubus friend or the person targeting you."

The noble sighed. He turned to the other Seven Knight. "The person who left that is asking me to see them in a place familiar to me" -he turned away- "but I haven't gone there since I was five. I doubt it came from Sarah, but I need to go if it means finding a way to stop this."

"Take Rudy with you."

"It's too much of a risk. Someone needs to stay and make sure Terra will be safe."

Spike stared at himfor a moment before shifting to feel comfortable. "What good is a lock ifits shackle is broken?"
