Louis woke up the next day to the sound of his alarm. He sleepily reached over tapping his phone until the sound ceased. After turning off the alarm Louis sat up and turned so his legs were dangling off of the bed. After rubbing his eyes sleepily he slid out of bed and walked to the bathroom. Looking at himself he quickly fixed his hair and brushed his teeth. After finishing p he went to his room and got dressed in black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, and a pair of combat boots. He walked over to his bedside table and picked up his phone, with no notifications he slid the cellphone into his pocket and continued gathering his things for school. After gathering the last of his things he picked up his keys and headed towards the front door. After exiting his house he got in his car and drove to school.
One new iMessage.
Louis heard the sound of his phone going off but he decided to ignore it until he got to school. Once he made it to school he got out of his car, locking the door, and quickly walked to his class. After arriving he sat in his seat and pulled his laptop and then his phone so he could check his message from earlier.

Nothing about school was remotely interesting to Louis. He sat in class too excited about meeting the new boy to pay attention. The mystery of a new friend was thrilling, he was ready to meet this Harry boy. Probably more ready than he needed to be. When he snapped out of it the class was over and it was time to continue on to the next class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One class turned into two and it was time for lunch. He walked through the halls of the high school with his headphones in, pretending he owned these people. These peoples existence was just a blemish on his reality. These loud people with nothing more to do than utter curse words and talk crap about all of those around them. When he made it to the lunchroom he jumped in line as quickly as he could, the disgusting smell of bland vegetables and mystery meat filling his nostrils. He wen through the line whisper-talking a please and thank you here and there to the lunch ladies. He felt the heathens around him did not use such manners as they should when speaking to a worker like this. When he made it to his seat that he had been sitting in for going on four years now he sat down and looked down at his lunch.
Louis poked his fork at the too-green green beans and lifted up the meat patty feeling disgusted just by the look of it. He took a few bites of the bland green beans that had barely been cooked. When he took a bite of the meat patty it tasted like actual nothingness. That is when he decided to put the fork down and continue letting his music drown out the sea of conversations and excited yelling between teenagers. A few songs went by and soon enough the bell rang and it was time. It felt like this time would never come and it would never be time to meet the new boy. So Louis got up and stated towards the trash cans to dump his tray. He dumped the food and took the remaining tray to it's appropriate area, made specifically for dirty trays. Next, he made his way towards the cafeterias exit. When he made it to the doors his heart began to pound .
The feathery haired boy took a left out of the cafeteria and started his way towards the band room. He shuffled quietly through the teens hoping not to bump into anyone. With each step his heart pounded harder. Step. Ba-dum. Step. Ba-dum. Step. Ba-dum. Each step closer to the room his heart beat louder almost aching. So many questions were running through his head. Why was he nervous? Why did he care? And most of all why was his heart pounding. He reached the end of the first hallway and he felt his hands get clammy. At this point there were no more students the jocks peeled off a while back, on their way to the gym. The preps never made it that far. His hands brushed up against the cold door as he pushed the door open with a loud creak. Another left through that door and in a few steps he was in front of the band building. Louis paced his hand over his heart and felt the rapid beating.
"Are you just going stand there?" Louis heard a familiar voice behind him. He turned and pulled one earbud out. Liam was standing there grinning, "Or are you going to open the door?" Louis reacted to his words immediately and opened the door to let Liam pass. As he waked into the building Liam uttered a 'thank you' and Louis nodded in return.
'I'm not ready for this.' Louis thought to himself as a few other band members entered the building.
'I can't do this.' He thought again feeling more anxious than he has in his entire life.
Louis was never the one to have anxiety. He never felt like this before, even when big things like exams, concerts, and social outings. So why was he so anxious about about a boy he had never met before? Why was he so excited for this mystery boy? With that Louis snapped out of it and shook his head. He walked into the band building and took a left to get to the band room. As he reached the door to the band room he took a deep breath and opened the first door that led to the lobby. Then again his heart was beating faster, louder, making him feel crazy. Step. Ba-dum. Step. Ba-dum. He opened the door and there he was.
The long-haired boy was sitting in the front row looking down at his flute, messing with the keys. When Harry heard the door open he looked up quickly with a smile. That's when green met blue and Louis saw Harry for the first time.
Louis stepped closer to the boy and his face flushed.
